Monsterverse Kong's got some weirdly long legs but is otherwise a gorilla everywhere else. It honestly reminds me of how some documentaries represent the Yeti or Sasquatch
Kong was about twice that in Skull Island which is bigger than the original, but then again, buildings are a lot bigger than in 1930’s so the idea of big between then and now is different. The size boost makes some sense in that regard. Then they realized he had to fight Godzilla in the next movie and he rapidly grew three times bigger.

Yeah, even original Kong wasn't meant to be 100% a big gorilla, if I recall correctly, but more something in-between, very much like yeti and sasquatch but much bigger.
Meanwhile, with Skar King trending more to orangutan, I kept alternating between humming King Louis' "I wanna be like you" song from The Jungle Book, or wanting to say "right turn, Clyde" like Clint Eastwood in "Every Which Way but Loose".

The villagers homes, I presume, thou I think there is some stuff about the red brick road but I don't know much about it as I'm not exactly the biggest Wizard of Oz fan, I don't even own it on DVD, yet I know the story from seeing the film on TV over the years, thou I had a refresher with a local stage show about 7 - 8 months ago as it was put on by a local drama club with the bulk of the performers being secondary school kids!
(sighs) I got the denist in the morning, thankfully just a check up but I also got to work tomorow afternoon, so no rest for the wicked, they say, so I'm going to be tired tomorow, thou I can rest on Friday as that is a day off, currently!
Got the Hiya Toys Heat Ray Godzilla on sale. Had to shave a LOT of flash out of the neck socket on the alternate head before it would plug in. Looks really nice, though. The breath effect catches the light pretty well.
I got the translucent Heat Ray version myself. I don’t dislike it but the main body’s gray is a bit too loght for my tastes, closer to stereotypical elephant gray. The atomic breath is also somewhat opaque due to some kind of sparkly coatingon the clear blue so it doesn’t light up as well. Considering upgrading to the light-up one when it comes out in a decade or so but I think the clear blue looks really nice.
I want to see the 1998 design. It deserves some good quality merch.

Nanmu’s making unlicensed Jurassic Park/World designs and recently announced a random ass crocodile. They might just do it if Tristar godzilla becomes popular in China. Hiya could do it legally but they would also need to get approval from whoever has the rights now and regardless, I get the impression Toho would rather forget Zilla.

Toho may finally have learned to love the Zilla; it's going to be a new battle piece in the Godzilla Battle Line game due to a lot of player requests. It will be the Final Wars Zilla, so not quite 98, but they may not be as opposed to Zilla figures as they used to.
I would prefer Animated Zilla Jr and Cyberzilla, myself.
