I was going to say that Shaggy should be carrying Scooby honeymoon-style, but I'm not sure his arms could manage that...

it's genuinely insane to me how hastak first put these molds out back in 1994 and over 30 years later, it's still a genuinely fantastic set. no qualifiers needed. original g2, the beast wars ii version i got here, rid01, robotmasters. honestly one of the greatest molds in transformers history.

also shout out to sculpted cockpit interiors, gotta be one of my favorite genders

Love that Ruination color scheme!

The execution on that set was indeed lovely. It's gorgeous overall, and that gold on the combined chestplate is very fetching. It's kind of what draws me to AOTP Vector Prime. That UW Baldigus set is one of those things I went after, deliberately ignoring that it was a pretty hefty sum. In the end I had to scrimp a bit to recover but I've been glad for a while to have gotten that. I still kick myself for missing out on, say, Megaempress a few times.

I also wish I'd gotten to take a picture of Greejeeber/Rollbar, Shuttler/Movor, and Hepter/Ro-Tor combined with the US Mega-Octane and Armorhide customs I made, before I let those go.

silver knees reduces the stubbiness even more. Also gave Onslaught the gun that came with the CW Thundercracker I painted into AM colors
That improves the leg look a lot. But now I'm wondering if there's too much silver overall, or if the arms might have been better in Onslaught's dark blue-green. But then the combo would look like a long-sleeved shirt and pants...

On a weird note, you know how I was throwing various parts of the Red Cog pack at Bruticus to see what stuck? Well, the 'hollow tube' gun with the odd foregrip that was supposedly intended to be an adapter for Arcee and weaponizers (I never had a compatible Arcee) also works to let AOTP Bruticus hold a CW Shockwave without having to file or cut anything. I know it probably has a proper name with a lot of letters and numbers, but I didn't look it up.

It slots right in!

"One shall stand, one shall-Ok, you know, this never works, I'm just going to hit Megatron in the face with an axe and see if that accomplishes anything."
"Why do you-wait...back up, do WHAT?!"
-The battle of Autobot city went a bit differently and also got the movie's rating bumped a few notches too...
And that's how we got the ending to Dark of the Moon!

Cartoon Bruticus' design philosophy appears to be "no Onslaught" so I decided to continue that for the arms. Ideally, they'd be colored like the arm robots but that would end up ugly in vehicle mode. For the knees, the cartoon had them lighter than the hands/thighs so I interpreted that as the cartoon model's lighter gray that the AOTP toy represented with silver.

(Also, it was a lot easier on my end to blast them with a silver spraycan rather than matching the dark gray plastic)
