I don't have any Alternators these days and I don't plan on getting any but I still have such a soft spot for the line. It's just part of that "omg are we back?" feeling that the brand had that was so fun to be around in.Lovely pics! Alternators is right there in that Unicron Trilogy adjacent, pre-live action movie space that's one of my favorite eras (a close second is the Arms Micron/Movie Advanced/Transformers Adventure period, with emphasis on Takara's offerings.)
I wish we had more of these stores here that had that wide a range of old stuff. There's something soothing about seeing all the different years of packaging and stuff as the company intended them to be seen, for maximum "buy this and get addicted". (I should get back to my old packaging thread...) It's a weird balance of I want the stores to succeed and sell their stock, but I value them always having a range of old stuff on hand.
Sometime during the 2010s, local shops largely ran out of older stuff, especially packaged, and now the 2010s stuff that lingers IS the older stuff. And these days it's mostly 2018 onwards, if that.
Tonight! A Jaaaag turns into a really big cat... Tracks has to choose a color... And Rodimus goes fishing.simply call it "Gear" or "Top Gear"![]()
And I can just see Clarkson drifting that really big cat in the Welsh surf (or at least, I think they were in Wales on that shoot; I might be misrembering).Tonight! A Jaaaag turns into a really big cat... Tracks has to choose a color... And Rodimus goes fishing.
