Well, well.

How does he size up compared to Titan class CW Devastator?

I had to look up why Dillo was showing up so much in these, and that was a fun little dive.

Wish they'd kept Battle Masters/Beast Battle Masters around and eventually gotten around to these.

Huh! I had just figured that Lord GigaIce really liked Dillo for some reason. The more you know!

It is such a really weird pull. If you read Dillo's original bio, you don't get the feeling that it's talking about the U-Haul Robot. When you see the words "Autobot tracker" in a G1-continuity setting, the one who first comes to mind for most would be Hound.

And from what little we see of the U-Haul Robot in the FFOD flashback, we see him as a gladiator and as a guerilla leader, but not really a tracker.

It's the mace. The mace is the link.

Regardless, I love it when TT starts cutting deep.

What I mean is, why call the U-Haul Robot a "tracker" in the first place? Where did (I presume) Andrew Frankel get that notion when he wrote Dillo's original toy bio?

Oh, I have no idea.
"Autobot gladiator," or even "previous Matrix bearer" would each have been far more accurate descriptors in the days before U-Haul Robot was canonized as Sentinel.

My best guess is that Frankel or whoever else may have written Dillo's bio wanted to tie Dillo to U-Haul Robot as a deep cut but seeing as this was 1999 and easy access to old media wasn't yet super common he just had his own memories of Five Faces of Darkness to go off of and misremembered some stuff.

Oh.

Oh yeah. Hound, definitely. He's absolutely the first one I think of when I think of "Autobot tracker" in a G1 continuity setting.

Definitely not Steeljaw. Nope.

I'm normal.
