This has really been a banger couple of years for jet trailers, between this and AotP Silverbolt's jetass
The design isn't that great. It's basically a tube with wide hips in bot mode.
The knees are a pain to assemble correctly, so they can easily become floppy if we don't know what to do (and the instructions are rubbish, IMO). He hasn't really got noticeable thumbs (just stubs) and he can't see past his shoulder poltroons.
The trailer is not interesting for me but if they integrated the jet inside the trailer (perhaps with the cockpit sticking out) it might have made for a more streamlined and interesting land vehicle. For example, something like the "Panthermobile":
Also, the fake windows on the botmode chest are rather jarring (reminding me of Fire Convoy a bit).
I agree with everyone here in that it's not worth the money. Takara'sv crossover figures have been rather overpriced and weak-sauce compared to the Hasbro offerings, IMO.

Because its the colours Hot Rod had in the movie, its very rare to have Hot Rod coming in his G1 Movie colours, as for the accessories, its because they appeared in the movie and for those who want to recreate either the openning scene of him and Daniel or the scene aboard the shuttle prior to Galvatron's attack

I never had any GPS issues, I don't remember any on his joints. I don't have it anymore sadly, it was a casualty of the last medical mess but I don't think he's expensive. He did have very loose joints though, even though they were white plastic. His shoulder/scissors gimmick was pretty useless.
