Our McDonald's has a promo where you bring one of Zodiac animals with you on certain days to get coffee for cheap.

Wednesday was dragon or snake. So I brought Transmetal 2 Megatron with me to two McDonald's. The drive-thru ladies both laughed and one took a pic.

From the container to body ratio, Megatron isn't getting any sleep tonight!

While I am surprised at the Blookies popularity, I can admit that blind buying toys has a sense of excitement all about it. Whether its toys or Pokémon cards, the anticipation of what will you get is something that I have had all my life, all the way back to baseball cards and those quarter machines in front of stores, and the feeling is a bit nostalgic itself.

I could get behind it more if I could afford to go after them with any regularity.

Come to think of it? I'm realizing that I also have an equivalent that comes to mind that I question the appeal of less: gacha machines. Although the pool of options in a set there tends to be about half the size of a typical Blokees wave, and with Blokees it's multiple series for a brand at that. And the price is variable, from around Defender Version to between that and Galaxy Type I guess.

I've seen a toy-swapped ROTF Gears in the packaging of the 2010 Battle Blades Bumblebee at Target once.

When I worked at Target, someone returned a Cybertron Mudflap box with a blue piece of wood in it. And someone else tried to put it back on the shelf. It took me a while to stop laughing long enough to point it out.

Is this example of yours what the wiki is referring to? (there's no source citation for it)

I doubt it, since I don't think I was all that active in the fandom at the time, but I can't rule out the possibility.

The Walmart on Gandy recently had an AotP Brawl swapped with a CW Brawl... except it was a ko CW Brawl. You could tell by the "legally distinct" Decepticon symbol.

Kicking myself I didn't take a picture of it.

Here’s some nonsense. Can’t believe this Broadside was ever a thing. If anybody deserves a titan or commander sized figure, it’s him.

How did his hand move between the two pictures?

Anyway, I may give Hasbro flack for a lot of things, but no way this was the manufacturer's fault. That employee was a genuine dumbass.

Retail employees are not paid enough to care. Especially if they're not interested in the product to begin with. One grayish robot is the same as any other.

Did the McDonald's 'bring a Zodiac animal for cheap coffee' thing again but used Optimus Primals for Friday's Monkey or Rooster.

I showed two sets of two Primals at two different McDonald's to get one coffee each.

I did brought an emergency plastic monkey, too, in case they say Primal is an ape and not a monkey, haha

Saturday is the last day, with Dog or Pig. I don't want to dig out my Razorbeast or K-9 or Weirdwolf so I'll just use Bluey, hehe
