Huh! I really enjoyed giving Static nightmares early on, didn't I. And I'm almost sorry Static dragging Night Cap around the museum didn't make it into the comic.

Oh, that was just an idle comment. Don't push something if it doesn't belong.

And that’s the tragic fun of Night Cap. How mainly gets to be the Big Damn Hero(tm) in dreams. While being a Coffee addicted disaster in the real world.

Except for Mey Hem, where he ending up getting to be quite the Knight. :)

I adored getting to write maple as being a crazy fangirl. I'm pretty sure if she wasn't in charge of the Night Cap news letter, she was a contributing source lol

She was and will remain Mr. Night Caps greatest cheerleader. And the best bit is that behind the fan girl ing, Maple’s not wrong. He is the hero she sees.

Mostly. :)

He really doesn't help his own case, and sometimes he does that on purpose. He has a bit of a "don't get attached" mindset. But inside he really really wants to get attached.

There’s a Babylon 5 term I find perfectly fits Night Cap.

Enlightened Self-Interest. :)

And that’s what makes it comical and tragic. He can be great, but he constantly gets in his own way. Which ends with him crashing down. Its why his clashes with Shadewings Rhapsody was so much fun.

i had fun with that morning I had Scarlet drag Night Cap to work and bribe him with Coffee.

I have to admit that some of my funnest moments were when Static knew Night Cap was seeing something shiny and knew simply ordering him not to do something wouldn't work. He had to get really manipulative a few times to make Night Cap behave himself.

I guess that was the biggest difference between Rhapsody and Static. Rhapsody wanted to throw him off a cliff. Static...well...okay, there were times he wanted to throw him off a cliff to. But his go to was manipulation.

I don't think Static was inherently manipulative. One of the things I always liked about him was that he wore his heart on his sleeve. But man, Night Cap could really drag it out of him!
