Today on Vega Conflict's Discord, Kixeye, the company that Created Backyard Monsters, War Commander, And Battle Pirates, announced that after 13 years the game would be shutting down.
Support for the game is going to end in Mid March and the game servers will go dark in May. Vega Conflict, was an MMORTS Facebook/Browser game that was started as the successor of Kixeye's Battle Pirates game. Setting the same mechanics in a futuristic space setting allowing for base building, resource management and PVP and PVE space battles. The closure is most likely due to Stillfront games who Bought Kixeye in 2019 wanting to move resources to new projects as the Vega Conflict team was surprised by the decision.
The game had been slowly losing player base over the years. On a personal Note I had not played the game in about 4 years. All these games and a EOL... 13 years was a good run.
