I call bullshit. The ukrainian constitution doesn't allow for it.

He’s not only an idiot, but an untrustworthy one at that. Zelenskyy is wisely getting “back up” from European leaders because any guarantees from the US are worthless, right now.
Oh, and Trump’s grand plan to settle the conflict? Have Ukraine give up the territory Russia as already seized and promise NOT to join NATO in exchange for “Security Guarantees”. And being an adult that has already had to put up with Trump’s garbage last February, Zelenskyy knows that anything Trump says is completely worthless, as is any agreement with him.
Though, maybe this will all keep Donald distracted to avoid mucking about with any more tariffs or similar economic tomfuckery.

Not JUST the territory Russia has already seized. Apparently he wants Ukraine to also give up the entire Donbas region, even the areas that Ukraine currently controls. Worst part is everyone knows such a deal will just embolden Putin and he'll launch another invasion in a couple of years if Ukraine capitulates, either that or he'll start another war of expansion in some OTHER former soviet territory.
The world needs to operate on the assumption that any "peace" putin wants is just time to reload and rearm. Sadly for the russian people: putin has set the tone that they will always be an aggressor nation, even though putins regime collapses with him.
Trump's strategy, or rather those of the forces whose puppet he is, seems to be to present Ukraine with a "deal" that the Ukrainian government cannot agree to, then portray Ukraine as willingly wanting the conflict to continue. It's always been the plan.
If I were a non-EU, non-NATO country in central-eastern Europe currently, I would prepare as much as possible for Russian tanks rolling in, as seems depressingly inevitable.
Right now, it's a threat to be true, but not a great one. Russia is largely held up, stretching its forces in ukraine. As long as ukraine has SOME nato support (and most of nato is supporting ukraine in the long term.) then russia will always be held in the quagmire.
But with us turning traitor: it went from "break russia's economy" to "outlive putin". Or "outlive trump" cause the trump regime will collapse he passes, and he is not a healthy person.

Apparently they left schedules and protocol details on a printer in Alaska. Nothing earthshaking though: menu for a lunch that didn't happen, seating chart for the bilat, revelation that Trump gave Putin a present, among other things.
