Oh dang, I forgot the start of Mutant Mayhem. It was Baxter who started with Superfly!

I'm a little late to reporting this. But, Hello Kitty and TMNT are getting crossover McDonald's toys...in Malaysia. I don't know if we're going to end up getting these eventually, like we did with the Hello Kitty x Yu-Gi-Oh crossover toys, but I feel like chances are pretty fair.

Saw Dexter Resurrection (Dexter the serial killer, not Dexter's Lab) ep 2 and the lead guy Harrison is babysitting and brought out a TMNT comic to read to a kid.

Couldn't they have gotten a Rise or Mayhem TMNT comic? To be more in touch with youth? I dunno.

Hey, kid has to learn sooner or later. Life is a cold , dark, violent place with people who will kill you simply for wearing a turtle costume.

1) Isn't the lead of that show a psycho or something? So that checks out.

2) Barring that, I can just imagine someone being dumb enough to be like 'Oh, TMNT! That's for kids! I'll give them this!"

The guy babysitting is the son of the serial killer of killers Dexter. (But he's also a killer now too).

Yeah, they could have done some more research on the current tmnt media. There is a kid friendly title that continued the 90s show story, right?

Nooooot exactly.

Wow, funny how this has come up twice in a few days.

TMNT Adventures started as an adaptation of the cartoon, but after the first... hmm... I want to say seven issues? It completely went its own way and almost never looked back.

It was honest-to-goodness my favorite version of TMNT up until at least 2003's cartoon, maybe beyond.

Oh, right... for the purposes of this? It would be a little better than the Mirage version. Somewhat.

I mean, you won't find this on CBS Saturday mornings. XD

...okay, maybe in some universe, and good on 'em.

(Admittedly, I think Leo got him better.)

Oh, I mean a modern tmnt comic that's doing issues following the 90s toon aesthetic and Saturday morning cartoon plots. I'm sure I read about it here. I think it had an issue with Baxter Stockman as the fly returning.

Side note but I collected TMNT adventures and it just blew my mind how mature it is. I thought Dean Clarrain was awesome and was flabbergasted to realize it was just a fake name, haha.

The globe trotting turtle adventures and time traveling was cool and it felt like that they were barely home. Shame the Mutanimals were killed off cuz their TV show didn't happen.

Well, I'm sure that's going to redefine "goongala" for someone.

OH! Yeah, I know the one you're talking about. I thought you meant from the Mirage days, since that was the book they had and all. Gotcha.

Yeah, TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures is the new one that's based more on the old toon. I haven't gotten to check it out myself yet, though. Maybe that's why it slipped my mind.

Or just remembering the previous conversation.

Yeah, crazy. I remember the dude behind it used to run this great blog, but I think it's sadly long gone now. =(

Agreed on all counts.

Man, but I love the Cyber Samurai Mutant Ninja Turtles arc, though. Even got a few of the figures. One was Bebop, I think, who wasn't part of it, but he was in the lot I won on eBay, so...

Other two were Leo and Don, I think. Would love to get Raph and Mikey someday.

And I guess I might as well get Shredder at that point...

Not sure if I have all the accessories, though. Maybe I'll get lucky and Playmates will reissue them.

Oh, speaking of which...

For my "Legends of the Halcyon Era" series, we did an homage to one of the covers! You can check that out in the Iacon Art Institiute thread we have here on the Allspark.

Got plans for another homage from that series, too.

I know that cover! That's Cyber Samurai part 3 issue, when they went to the past! H-tler's brain is in a Droid body, stalking the turtles in front! Hehe

Really liked Verminator X and I wanted to see adventures with him after Donnie reprogrammed him. Which, yknow, might be a violation of his basic mutant rights. Like, you can just change someone's personality like that? Yikes.
