New "Wildocking" Animal Limb Combiners from TakaraTomy

Revealed:
"Autobots"
Light Long - Lightning
Hydrophant - Water
Ignite Bite - Fire
Drill Horn - Earth

"Decepticons"
Captain Volka - Fire
Leafback - Grass
Thunder Beak - Lightning
Spirituan - Earth

Unrevealed:
Abyss Rain - Likely the Decepticon/Dinosaur water elemental. Would love for this to be a plesiosaur of some type.

Lavamuleta - This one is confusing, because both sides already have a fire and an earth elemental, which seem to be the most likely alignments of someone with "lava" in their name. Maybe indicating that there are more than one of each element available to each side?

Frost Saber - A saber toothed tiger? Maybe with a new "Ice" element? If it is a saber tooth, maybe it could fit into either team? It would be a mammal, but also a prehistoric animal. Complete speculation, though.

Sky Report - Probably the Autobot aligned flyer to counter Thunder Beak. "Grass" is the only element that is missing from the Autobot team, unless like I mentioned earlier, there are some more elements yet to be revealed.

EDIT:
I'm seeing elsewhere that rumors are that Lavamuleta is a bull that transforms into a shield and Frost Saber becomes a sword. These would be packed with the Nemesis Prime and Shadow Megatron repaints. If so, that makes sense. Sky Report would be a grass-elemental "Autobot", giving each team 5 members, with Lavamuleta and Frost Saber being seperate weapons instead of directly forming limbs/wings (they may still be able to be limbs, but it wouldn't be their primary purpose.)

EDIT PART 2: Electric Edi-loo
Ok, apparently two of the unrevealed animals are a bull and a stegosaurus as shown in these to teeny-tiny pics:

I'd wager Abyss Rain is gonna be a blue stegosaurus as the Decepticon water-elemental.

^ Of note, a number of those names are either preliminary names ("Ignite Bite" instead of "Ignite Leo") or the result of Loopaza Mega Store misinterpreting the Katakana in their leak listings ("Drill Horn" instead of "Drillnohorn").

I'm digging all of these, although some less than others -- that Spino is a bit weaker, but that pterodactyl is wow. But I love the colors on all of them.

If they indeed make a stego (and they might as well, the triceratops shows that body type can be fudged from the base) I will get it on principle.

I wish there could be other combiner main bots too, but I'm already going to get Nemesis Prime so I'll at least have one. Wonder if the Megs redeco will be interesting too.

I'm still not sold on the aesthetic mismatch. I would like to see some torsos that actually fit these limbs, or some limbs that fit these torsos. Individually these parts are good and getting better but for me they just don't come together.

If this line stays just an extremely limited thing, I understand why they're only doing two torso molds. A little odd that they'd do Nemesis Prime and also a "Shadow" Megatron, so there will be 3 evil torsos and only one good one, but other than a Shattered Glass type Megatron, I don't know what they'd redeco him into that would be a "Good" character.

If the line continues, I'd love to see a couple more torso bots. Give me some new characters, maybe a brachiosaur for the dino limbs and a bear for the modern animals or something.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do the following homages/recolours/remolds to make:
- Predaking.
- Magnaboss (They've got Lio-Junior and Ironhide already, so a few more extra team members with the right colours might work).
- Grand Scourge/Nemesis Prime.
- Energon Optimus Prime (They'll introduce vehicle drones or recoloured animals).
- Black Megatron (with black/purple limbs).
- Dinoking/G1Dinobot combiner.
- etc.

I think it'd make sense to keep the vehicle core + animal limbs thing going. But there are so many options.

Vehicle main bodies who are the "main" brand icons you can expect: Starscream, Bumblebee, Soundwave, Jazz, Shockwave, Hot Rod

And varying, mixed-release clusters of animals. All new characters! We've seen the usual safari options and dinos. Let's see some insects, sea creatures, farm animals, arthropods, etc.

And to that Wing Saber idea, how about gigantic mythical versions of beasts that split into all four limbs, and could be ridden as mounts in beast mode?

When I think "trailer" in this context my kind keeps going to "circus train" but I'm sure there are much better ideas, haha.

It doesn't make sense to my brain. I like combiners with a clear theme, including visually. Pick beasts or vehicles and give me a match. If the limbs have to be beasts but the torso can't be, at least give the torso some hint of an animal motif. Give Prime a torso that looks like a lion's head. I know Takara can do that. They made an art form out of it.

I get that, but narratively the core concept is a crossover, a meeting of two worlds. And I think that helps distinguish it from the usual combiner archetype we've seen almost every other time. Although hey, there could very well be a torso bot native to that planet (I have not been following the series) who's also a beast. And then Grimlock arrives to show the Autobots how it's done.

I'd rather that than the "vehicle with sudden very animal bits" Takara ran with in the 90s, which is trying to have it both ways and somehow diminishing both. "Here's a jet or a truck and a sudden full-3D lion head on its chest! It's like a coat of arms except not actually good!" Never been into it.

In a way, the story feels a lot like an isekai, with Optimus and Megatron being two vehicular Transformers from the technologically advanced world of Cybertron who find themselves in the very different, much more primitive jungle world of Elementros that's fully inhabited by tribes of animal-themed Transformers. There's a great sense of culture clash with the Energy Beasts being amazed by Optimus and Megatron's otherworldliness, while they themselves try to get a better sense of what this world is like and what their role in this world is to be. There is a strong "fish out of water" theme that is further emphasized by the vehicular nature of Optimus and Megatron in this world of jungle beasts.

Brave is the absolute peak of super robot aesthetics and I want to go back.

Brave has this weird mix of over-the-top super robot aesthetics and engineering that actually works as a toy. It doesn't blatantly cheat to combine, like Getter Robo and the like, but it still has that flair that more "real" robots like Transformers usually lack.

If only they could put out some toys with modern articulation that aren't $400 Chogokin or whatever.

Fair enough, we can agree to disagree. Between the giving up on engineering to go for partsforming (based on what little I've seen) and the aforementioned random lion heads, it's just not for me. Although I did love the vibe of King Exkaiser being a little Hot Rod-ish car that combines with the trailer to form the big robot.

But man, I'd love an RID2015 Optimus retool into J-Decker.

There is a lot less partsforming than modern toys would have you believe. That's just what happens when someone other than Takara tries to make transforming super robots.
