I've only had the Bumblebee, but it's a good mold. The Deluxes for Cyberverse and Earthspark were generally solid.

And now in these higher-contrast colors, this Bee looks even better. If they make a G1 colors Arcee from the Cyberverse mold in plastic that won't yellow as soon as it leaves the damn factory, I'll probably grab it. (surprise us with a Black Hot Rod too, maybe, please)

I don’t know, do we need to retitle this thread “Authentics and Transformers Core” or something like that?

So, just as a general “catch up” before Toy Fair next month:
Earthspark seems to be dead at this point. What few retailers around me that did carry ES stuff have started the grand clearance. Right now, Cyberworld is carrying the bulk of the media momentum and is off in its own thing. Without a “main cartoon/media” line, it appears that Hasbro is simply going to leverage their basic “Transformers Authentics” branding into a generalized kids line, at least for 2026.

I get the feeling this wasn’t a big plan going forward, but the state of the Earthspark product seemed to have made it a necessity. As a result of that, most of the 2026 “kids stuff” is recycled Cyberverse items (largely due to that line being HEAVILY defined by the generalized Authentics designs).

Seems like, at this stage, ”Transformers Core” is about filling the gaps in retail offerings from Cyberworld. From what has been leaked, Core is going to be focused around the $19.99 “Prime Changers” (aside from a new Megatron, both Prime and Bumblebee are recolors from Cyberverse) and the $34.99 Smash Changers (redecos of the RotB Optimus Prime and Primal toys). Recently posted by TFW, the Tiny Turbo Changers are making a return, again, using the Cyberverse offerings as a foundation. These are likely filling the sub-$10 price point item previously held by Tacticons:

Barring any other reveals at Toy Fair, the “kids component” of the Transformers brand is seemingly going to look like this:
$6-ish?- Tiny Turbo Changers
$10- Cyberworld Cyber Changers
$15- Armored Cyber Changers
$20- Core Prime Changers
$30- Cyberworld Large Figures (Mega Cyber Changers?)
$35- Core Smash Changers
And anything above that will be one off “holiday push” type items like the Earthspark Prime w/ trailer and Cyberworld Scorponok.

Hasbro has sent out pressers for the Transformers Core product range for 2026:

Tiny Turbo Changers will be Target exclusive, retail for a paltry $3.99 (!). Included in the presser are images of the full assortment, giving us looks like both Arcee and Elita 1 as well as Skybyte

Next up are high res images of Core Prime Changers and Smash Changers. Prime Changers will be $21.99, and Smash Changers at $32.99. Unlike usual press releases about new products, these explicitly state "Available at participating retailers". That tells me that some retailers have opted not to carry some of these products, so we'll see where availability falls. The Prime Changers have already been spotted at Target locations, btw

For a minute, I was thinking that getting that Megatron might be a cheap way to get some fun effects pieces, but then I saw that price. These are definitely a step above the super-discount toys, but $22 seems a bit steep for these. Maybe I'm just old, though, and am still mentally living back when I could go downtown with a nickel and get a haircut and a candy bar the size of my head.

That's a neat Megs with cool effects, and I like the higher contrast on Bee better than the gray/yellow of the Cyberverse original. But these are pretty far down the list. Too much going on.

Amazon has the new Smash Changers Bumblebee up for order with an estimated release of April. Despite appearances, this IS an all new mold based on the Evergreen design

In regards to the Prime Changers, reliable leaker JTPrime noted that there IS a wave 2 on deck, featuring a new Mirage figure. If said wave follows a similar pattern to wave 1, Mirage might be the sole new mold with some Cyberverse reruns. I’m highly confident either Starscream or Soundwave are on deck, with Grimlock likely (especially if they get ambitious and do some minor retooling on the head).

Intriguing. A new Deluxe-ish (if it's anything like the Cyberverse reruns) Mirage? Could be neat.

Some minor updates: Images have come out for Core PrimeChangers Megatron. People who have gotten it said it‘s pretty good, and a nice compliment to the Devastation Optimus Prime from last year.

Burger King is seemingly gearing up for a kids meal promotion, featuring Transformers. Part of a “Hasbro Legacy” themed promotion, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are being joined by Furby, My Little Pony, and Nerf.

The most interesting thing to me is that this is the second time since the year started that we’ve seen an Evergreen Bumblebee “thing” sport the battlemask instead of open face design. The Energon Surge promotional art from the Nuremberg Toy Fair ALSO featured Bumblebee in an Evergreen design, but with a Battlemask.

I really don't want to sound like An Old... but holy hell... I had some of the McDonalds Beast Wars toys from 1996 and...

I don't want to hear about today's designs being harder to pull off, because Beast Machines designs are about as hard as it gets and we saw how that turned out.
McDonalds managed to make some pretty fun BM figures. Like... nothing mind blowing but they body whatever the hell was just announced.

Some of which were arguably better (or at least more show-accurate) than the normal mass retail versions, even.

I mean, McDonalds is literally doing working Changeables right now, so it seems like simple transformations in kids meal toys are still viable.
That said, how complicated do Burger King toys ever get?

(As an aside, the Changeables have made me wish for a new version of Wendy's Gobots, and of course THAT isn't going to happen, but it would be hilarious to have competing transforming robot toys in kids meals...)

I don't know if BK has ever done Transformers before, but I do know their kids meal offerings used to have some neat stuff in them.

Like... they were still kids meal toys so nothing mind blowing, but this new stuff is just embarrassing when compared to past outputs.
