Tank mode is better, mostly aside from the overly tall central block but it's disappointing how the Studio Series Leader has a more impressive transformation and robot mode. I get that the Style Gen isn't as beholden to the Sunbow models as Studio Series but I dunno, the chunk and blockiness kind of are odds with the relatively athletic Optimus we got.
where's the big stick.
I would love a "Rebirth Megatron/Reverse Convoy" to be made from this.
It seems TT is milking their more expensive molds (needlessly?) again, I see.

It's WILD that the main line was supposedly JUST getting around to this finally. Way to get beaten to the punch.
And what a punch. It's gorgeous. I will only be able to afford whatever mainline version they make, but if it's anything like the Hot Rod situation where the MPG/Studio Series designs are so parallel, that will be awesome. I mean, yeah, who knows how big an if that is, but there doesn't seem to be anything here transformation-wise that isn't doable on a Voyager or even Leader budget.
I do wish they'd colored the tank barrel uniformly. In the G1 colors, this way looks weirdly like a tank barrel with a bandage on it or a duct-taped-on extension (an impression I never got with the G2's purple barrel -- ahem -- with orange sticker). Also, the wackiness of that scope just... sitting on top of the whole thing is as charming as it is janky.
