Lego retiring most Transformers sets

So Lego just announced 300+ sets that are retiring this year and among them are most of the TF sets: Icons Optimus Prime and the BrickHeadz Bumblebee, Optimus, and Megatron (yeah, this just came out a few months ago, go figure). Not sure about Icons Bumblebee and Soundwave but they are listed as Backorder on the Lego shop. Makes me wonder if we're going to get any more Icons sets.

Anyway, if you still want any of them that you don't have, now might be a good time to pull the trigger.

If you really want them I’d try online ordering. I know Entertainment Earth also carries Lego products.

More than likely, this is a license expiration situation. And I’m not sure the Transformers sets have been significant enough for Lego to justify an extension.

I've seen them in person at a couple of Lego stores. Local stock may vary, of course.

I have Icons Prime and Bee. Kinda want Soundwave, but not for the asking price. Maybe if Target clears it out...
