Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the actual "Bacta Tank" name get introduced in the expanded universe. Like, of course I know that was a bacta tank that Luke was in in Empire Strikes Back. But I don't recall them ever giving it a name, like the term Bacta Tank came later.

I think you might be right about Bacta being made official in the books, though I’m not sure. But yeah, Bacta was never named in the films.

Well, I guess some of the best things did come from the book...Mara Jade for example.

But yeah, the old EU did some pretty heavy duty world building. And also a lot of off kilter dumb stuff too.

I can't say I read ALL of it, but I have read a pretty decent chunk. I can't recall anything worse than what Disney's done to the franchise.

I still haven't watched any of the Disney era, but the old EU had a lot of ups and downs.

It is true, the worst of the EU is better than Disney.. I mean, they did return Palpatine before ‘somehow Palpatine returned’. And yet, Dark Empire is still better and more coherent than the Sequel Trilogy.

From the Disney SW, Rogue One and Andor are worth watching. Mandalorian Seasons 1 and 2 are worth giving a chance too

Star Wars Visions is excellent fun. Plus The Ninth Jedi series spun off from it.

All kidding aside, the Holiday Special isn’t the worst thing Star Wars has ever done. But it is the weirdest and trippiest.
