The above message is about Lio Convoy, but I've only just reposted it here due to a rumour at Reddit about it. It states that this is has been postponed (which I think it's the second time this has occurred).

Also, many order at Amazon Japan states it's still going to be delivered between August and September.

Japanese TV channel, 'TV Tokyo' will air an episode of their 'Why Did You Come to Japan?' show about Transformers fans on the (4th August?). The show is about why non-Japanese have chosen to visit or live in Japan. Such shows are not without their criticism though.

More info will be added to this post as and when we get it.

(Info courtesy of Masabon).

Here are some examples.

And here are some critiques of Japanese TV featuring foreigners.

Here's a link to the video. It's available online for one week after broadcast but it seems to only allow app users to access the video. As I haven't got the app, I'm looking for another way to access the video and hopefully share it with you all.

I'm not sure how long this will stay up at YouTube, but here's a cam copy of the episode (as it's not available outside Japan?)

This work is a comic book adaptation of "Transformers Galaxy Force" (2005), which was serialized in Kodansha's "Comic Bonbon". It was written by Yoshihiro Iwamoto, who is known for the "Mega Man X" series, and has been very popular and attracts attention since then, but unfortunately the final three chapters were not included in the book at the time of its release. So this time, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the work, we will publish a complete edition of the book that covers the entire Iwamoto version of "Galaxy Force"!

The binding has been renewed based on a new illustration drawn by Iwamoto. The format is a wide, easy-to-read A5 size, just like our existing TF comics. Be sure to check out the whole story of Coby and the Transformers on the 20th anniversary!

Synopsis
In order to protect the universe from the threat of the suddenly appearing "Grand Black Hole," the good Transformers, the Cybertrons, led by Galaxy Convoy, attempt to retrieve "Planet Force," which contains the power of their creator, the good god Primus. However, the evil Transformers, the Decepticons, led by Master Megatron, are also after "Planet Force"... A super-scale energy battle begins in space and on Earth!

Features of this book
1. A new scan has been made from the original manuscript (only the layout of Chapter 2 was created based on an existing copy) and it has been published as a large A5-sized book!

2. With the cooperation of Iwamoto-sensei, the binding has been completely renewed. The text has also been revised and expanded, resulting in a complete edition.

3. The final three episodes, which were not included in the previous volume, are also included. This is the first complete volume to cover the entire Iwamoto version of "Galaxy Force."

Release Date: The 28th of March, 2026

Retail Price: ¥48,048

This series of pre-assembled alloy models captures the coolness of Takara Tomy's robot and mecha content, incorporating various creative design arrangements and new interpretations. Themes of aesthetic beauty and functionality are embodied in exquisite sculpting, precise coloring, and functional die-cast parts for ease of play.

Predaking, the Decepticon giant combiner warrior, is featured in the latest "Steel Machine God (Adamas Machina)" Transformers series. Based on the Predaking design from the popular "Transformers 2010" episode "Call of the Primatives", Satoshi Amemiya (TRIGGER animation director) created concept art, incorporating Takara Tomy's renowned transformation technology to achieve perfect transformation and combination.

The five Predacons (Razor Claw, Rampage, Dive Bomb, Tantrum, and Headstrong) transform completely from mecha-beast mode to robot mode, then combine into the approximately 300mm tall Predaking. The meticulous design allows for intuitive transformation and combination. The meticulous paintwork is rendered with the largest number of paint jobs in Transformers history, and the strategically placed metal parts create a sense of weight and luxury.

Each part incorporates articulation gimmicks typical of an action figure, including double joints in the elbows and knees, forward bending of the abdomen, shoulder swing by pulling out, and even the knuckles and toes of the legs, allowing for dynamic and flexible posing.

Each of the five Predacons comes with a dedicated blaster, and in their combined form, they come equipped with a large x-ray laser cannon, a large sonic blade sword, and a photon saber, which is being released for the first time in three dimensions. All accessories can be attached to all forms, and by swapping weapons to the hard points on each part of the figure, you can create your own unique weapon configuration.

Furthermore, in the combined form, both Rampage and Dive Bomb, and Tantrum and Headstrong can be swapped, allowing for custom combinations.

Set contents:
  • Razor Claw (1)
  • Rampage (1)
  • Dive Bomb body (1)
  • Tantrum (1)

Yes, I know Taiwan isn't in Japan, but I didn't know where else to post this. Please let me know if there's a better thread and I'll delete/repost it there, or Mods can do so. Just let me know where you moved it to please!

You're good, unless someone has a better idea.

Or we rename this to or start a separate "Transformin' 'Round the World" thread.

Although not official, this is SOOOOO Japanese that I think it at least deserves an honorary mention here.
