Been wanting one for a while now, and since my son was ALSO wanting one now that he's been using them at school for his robotics team, I decided to finally just do it and bought one. Went with the Elegoo Centauri Combo 2, which can do up to 4 colors at a time and had very good reviews at a bit cheaper of a price than the Bambu units.

For my first design and print, I combined two things that I love: Extinct bizarre animals and Transformers Battle Masters. I drew up a Tully Monster Battle Master. He's got an articulated trunk/arm thing with a 5mm port in the claw. Printed him a few times as I made slight adjustments to the design. Unfortunately on this latest version that I did in two colors, I accidentally broke off the rear of his tail fin when removing the support material. The grey trunk segment isn't supposed to be grey, but I forgot to add 2 to this print and had to use a grey from a previous attempt.

Here's a render of the model with the tail fin intact and what I'm thinking of using for his final colors:

As a companion piece, I did an Opabina, another amazingly bizarre extinct critter:

In addition to his 5mm port in his claw, he also has a 5mm rocket exhaust / gun port in his rear end. That above was my first print. I decided he needed some more grebbles to make it more obvious that he's a ROBOT Opabina, not a boring old regular organic one. Here's some renders of version 2. Not yet fully committed to these particular greebles, may do some revisions there.

And here they are being wielded by a Dinobot volunteer:

Still working out the bugs in their designs and how I print them. The ball joints get loose pretty quickly, so I think I may need to do something different there. Right now I'm just using standard PLA for these test runs, but I may do ABS for the final versions with maybe a more flexible / rubbery material for the balls of the ball joints to give them more grip? Need to do more research on that end of things.

"Now Snarl reach things on TOP shelf!"

---Dave, much love for Opabina, preCambrian Cybertronian life is the best thing to come from Cyberverse

I have to admit that I never watched Cyberverse. Do you remember roughly when that appeared in the series? I'd like to see it.
