So I hear, haha.

Oh and I read gamefaqs on Zero 4. Argh! I turned the weather to types that help me out! I didn't know that if I kept it at the regular weather aka more difficult, I could have gotten EX Skills from the bosses! I missed out again! Drat!

From what I hear of the Zero series the entire thing is "oh you wanted to make the game fun? F-- you're the worst player ever how dare you."

It's very much a game that's dependent on your willingness to rerun a level over and over until you get it perfect, yeah.

In the interest of fairness, the games are still fun without the EX skills. The cyber elf system from the first couple of games was just obnoxious, though.

Well, I played all the Zero and ZX games under casual and they've been great actually.

X7 though... I HATE the cyberspace stage of Snipe Anteater! So confusing! And I hate how I finished one stage and got all the 16 reploid because, NOW, I don't want to let any die! I beat Snipe twice but reset each time cuz there's one dead reploid! I don't want to redo his stage again and again! Darn you, completion compulsion!

Yeah, when we finally get there, someone's probably dyin'.

And I don't mean the Mavericks.

But them, too.

Well, finished X7. Got everybody. Gave virtually every power up to Axl so I could play him, haha. Some boss weakness stuff didn't seem to work so good but Tornado Onion's Tornado attack works in a pinch. I used it a lot.

When I was done, I checked the Japanese version to rewatch the Code Crush intro that I fondly remember watching. It wasn't there?!??! The text on the screen said Rockman X7 but it was the US instrumental? Dang, that's a shame. I had to rebook it up.

Amazing intro. Anyhow, X7 wasn't that bad under Casual mode. I was kinda enjoying it in the end.

Played X6 next. The very last X game I didn't finish. One reploid went Missing (eaten by a Nightmare) but I'm not going to care, haha. Maybe. I remember beating all the bosses except Infinity Minnow whatever before (when I had the game). I didn't finish it cuz... I dunno, I wasn't feeling it?

Yeah, I think all of the licensed music on the collections does that. Even the ones where it made it into the English side (X6)!

I forget if even the Japanese versions kept them, for that matter.

Looks like it might be possible if the system and game are all set to Japanese, if MMLC2 is any indication.

Yeah, it seemed better when I played it. Probably how we'll do it for the stream.

Haven't finished X6 yet but just bringing this up.

(Yes, Something About is hilarious and, yes, they used one of Zero's official voice actors. But...)

This was bugging me before. I read in the comments before that 6:04 explains for Sigma ended up on the moon. Is that a big deal in Megaman X lore? I only know Sigma was on the moon from Jacob's Ladder from X8 but that's not Sigma, that was Lumine in Sigma's copied form. Now that I played X7, the real Sigma's current fate was... thrown off a building.

What is the significance of Sigma on the moon? (At 6:04 in the video)

Absolutely none that I can tell. Just "putting you here so you can't cause another nine games' worth of trouble" kind of thing, I guess?

That, or they're planting seeds for MegaMan Volnutt to go Maverick. Though there's a problem with that...

I felt like it was some sort of reference that I missed. Oh well.
Actually, I misread and thought you got it before, so I didn't mention it: Sigma was on the moon in X8, as well as Lumine.

Only seeing the thumbnail but is that Teisel in a suit? Department store? Has he gone straight and narrow?!?! No way!!!

Mega Man 12 is coming! Not till 2027, though.

Doesn't look like they're officially calling it MM12. Instead, it's Mega Man Dual Override. However, the opening hallway sequence indicates it's the 12th Mega Man game. Check out the screens on either side of the hallway, and the big 12 on the floor in front of the door at the end.

I’m not overly optimistic, or at least not overly captivated by yet another sidescroller Megaman game. Guys like Inti Creates have kept the “Mega spirit” going in their Gunvolt franchise, so I was hoping that for a grand comeback, Capcom might do something more ambitious.

I would LOVE to see a 3D platform/shooter in the vein of Ratchet and Clank, and think it’s possible to do a compelling game in that format. I just don’t think the Japanese mindset that defines how Capcom handles its properties will explore that.

Dual Override is the title because of the Double Gear system from 11? I barely remember using it when I played. I'm sure I did but it didn't stick in my head as part of Megaman lore.
