Using the Pseudoroids is fun at times, it's just their inability to do regular walking/climbing "normal" stuff for the most part that bugs me.

ZX Advent is like in my top three favorite Mega Man games. At least playing as Grey. Ashe is okay, but I just found Grey's story more interesting.

I'd play around as the pseudoroids. I mostly stuck to the more humanoid ones, but I liked being able to be the other bosses and mess around with them. The having to stop and transform stuff just didn't bother me personally though.

As such I'd use the forms in various ways. Buck shot's triple shot came in handy sometimes because of its angle. I remember being able to hit things with it that I'd normally have to re-position myself to get.

Ironically one of the most useful forms to take was Chronoforce. While no he can't move when not in water, that time slow ability allows you to get a LOT of hits off on bosses if you use it right. Also I can't draw enough attention to the fact that his top half 'shell' is indestructible. There are quite a few attacks that will fall from the sky, going directly down.

His shell will BLOCK that attack outright. Meaning if you know what you are doing, you can tank it and take no damage.

I loved the game so much that I did those battle challenges. I think you get like a medal for completing them? It was all about doing a certain thing during the battle against a boss. If you get them all it unlocks a new form you can take, and I did that.

Really wish we got that third game in the series teased at the end if you play through hard mode. I'd love another game with Model A.

I was actually surprised when a weird medal flashed on screen when I beat QueenBee and BiFrost. I had to look up what in the world that was, haha.

I used Model Phantom on Queen cuz the shuriken did a ton of damage. I think I just kept hitting the hive (big target) so I got the silver medal. I used Buckfire on Bifrost, cuz yknow, it's fire, and got a silver too.

I'm actually at the last stage entrance with talking to Aile triggering the Ouroburos stage but I'm gathering all the missing life ups, model energy ups and the extra items like boots and absorbers etc.

Pandora and Prometheus are dead? Gosh dang. Seriously, the plot of the Model W's being also to eat your soul if you're feeling despair and fear is actually scary. I thought I was going to get their Model Data too, but, darn!

Oh yeah, meeting Aile had a loooong transformation sequence. Since I'm Grey, I get to meet Aile? But if I'm Ashe, I'll meet Vent? A gender meet switch? I want to hear Vent talk but I'll probably just check a video instead of replaying this.

Hedgeshock is very cute when running, hehe. If Bifrost would move faster, I would love to play a giant Dino gator in a game, hehe. The ugoyle augoyle with the skate feet are weeeeird but semi unique.

I actually like the four evil Mega Men. Feels like rivals in an anime series, haha

Yeah, that would have been really neat.

Yep!

I haven't finished Advent yet but had to look Vent up.

He has long hair? Aile had a ponytail. They could have switched. I would have thought Advent Vent was a girl, same way I thought Giro was a girl too.

Well, I finished ZX Advent. I went around getting the life ups, biometal upgrades, items etc (I hated trying to find all the green beasts that I had to kill) using a guide.

The final stage wasn't really anything and I used Model Phantom in the dragon for a quick kill. I didn't get how to attack Albert in his 2nd form at first but when he lost the armor (after I kept hitting it), I just hit him bunches. Got him after one death. (I'm in casual mode tho).

Ending was too quick? Both Aile and Grey are going to explore the world, that's it? Where's the thanks for everybody they saved?

I looked it up and saw that there's a second ending under difficult mode where Thomas has the other Mega Men with him, that's cool. They're going to reset the world! Yeah! Clean the oceans, hehe

Well, that's done. At least I don't have to worry about the Timelines comic anymore. I'll finish Zero 3 next then X7 and X6 or Hades 2 when it comes out.

Totally did, hehe. That's why I was surprised to see there was a version with the bosses from ZX and Advent.

Hmm, I haven't actually seen if there was one beating the Zero enemies. But I might be spoiled on those bosses since I haven't finished Zero 3 and 4.

I'm so excited to read Timelines ZX. Should keep my expecting in check but still excited, hehe

"Pinnacle of all things Mega Man" is one of heck of a boast for a game that just isn't as charming or as fun as the game it's a sequel to.

As much as I love Legends, even I think that was a bit much (hence why I chose to highlight it... that, and a lack of much else snappy to use).

I bet you used that pinnacle line in your Legends comic, hehe

Oh, I saw the X and Zero 50 seconds too. But Zero never had a hair attack, right? Haha

Also, in the regular Megaman 50sec one, I recall that you were suppose to find a hidden Metool and can click it. I remember comments saying it was on Gutsman's head (in the background beside Fireman at 0:08) but nothing happens now when I press on it.

Honestly, no. Wrote the comic last year, and didn't really give the press release a close look until a couple of days ago.

None that I can recall.

I think it was originally posted as Flash or something to deviantART or somewhere, and that part might have been lost in the move to YouTube? Or just because it led to the X and Zero version, which looks like it's a regular post now, so...?

So I just got my MegaMan Cartoon series on blu ray today.

It's nice having the extras, but the two I was most interested in are either a bit disappointing or implemented oddly.

First off the series bible. The text is way too small. In order to read it you are going to have to get right up close to the screen. It'd be perfect if I could just put it in my computer and get it up on that screen, but as we know, computers don't really play blu rays, so that's not really possible.

The second thing is the commentary. You get a file in the extras that has two episodes. The very first and the very last. The problem is it's basically just one guy (A discotek employee? Sorry I forget who he was), and Ian James Corlett, the voice of Mega Man.

The issue I personally have is they spend 90% of the time talking about how he got into voice acting and other stuff, and only 10% if that on the actual show or what's even hapening. I was hoping for more commentary about how it was to voice Mega Man or Rush, and tibits about the episodes you were watching, but there was hardly any of that.

I'm sure for most hearing about how he got into doing the job is fascinating, but that's not what I really wanted.

All in all, it's sorta worth the price I paid but if you already have this show? Unless you are just THAT big a fan like I am. It's not worth getting again.

Ah, really? I just got my comp copy the other day, and haven't had time to watch it yet (or even snap a picture to share online).

Damn, that's so disappointing if after trying to make this happen for all these years, no one can actually read the damn thing. 😿

M Sipher and I volunteered to do commentary for a couple of episodes, but I guess they weren't interested this time around. Can hardly blame them, when they can get Ian Corlett (even though I think we were both willing to do ours for free, anyway).

I didn't know they had someone else do commentary with him.

I mean sometimes that's the just how it is. Gunsmith Cats was like 25% what was on screen, and 75% Kenichi Sonoda geeking out about guns, cars, and Chicago.

Yeah, and again, I'm sure that's perfectly fine for most folks. Just at the end of the day I personally wanted something different so I ended up feeling a little let down. Nothing to really be done about it, it is what it is.

Solicitations just dropped for Mega Man X #0, the first part of the miniseries.

Drops January 14 (unless it gets delayed). Might want to preorder it at your comic shops if you're interested, because some shops don't always carry every Udon book.
