He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

The jaw is actually articulated. It's actually really nice. The visor was a little tight trying to take it off, but it finally came off. I do think this has immediately become my favorite Skeltor toy.

Well, I'm pretty sure I've posted this before, but you know what I love most about the Origins line?

View attachment 28975

Terror Claws accessories (in the vintage line, the terror claws wouldn't fit on other Skeletor hands), Battle Armor chest, Keldor cape and extra head.
Well played.

Still needs his pet dragon, though.

Otherwise, I cannot complain.

Well, more Panthor is good, too. 🧡 Panthor.

So glad we're finally getting 200x figures, two lines in fact. I'm mildly disappointed that they're basically in their own scale - I would have preferred they be in Masterverse scale, personally.

I liked the 200X cartoon but I have Zero interest in buying all the same characters again in its aesthetic.

I'd be much more interested in New Adventures or Netflix Princesses of Power (please!) or even the Netflix kid-aimed show. All of those atleast have a decent amount of new characters to get figures of.

-ZacWilliam, Origins is pretty much the only version of the 80s MOTU cast I feel like i'm ever really gonna go all in on.

Quite disappointed in MOTUxTCats wave 3. Panthor-Man was always going to be a partial of BC, but the Lion-O and Panthro figures look to be minor variations on the already released/planned figures, rather than do anything new. Not sure it says anything good about the planned longevity of this crossover.

On the 200x figures…I’m torn. On the one hand, it’s great to see Mattel acknowledge it and do something with it…but I didn’t want “cartoon stylized” Origins figures. I wanted them to take many of the key design points from the series/toys and integrate them into the base Origins style as they did so well with the prior Skeletor, He-Man, Randor, and Snake Armor He-Man figures. In addition, I’m not sure I trust Mattel enough to get to the stuff I actually want from that era, the fantastically well done Snakemen.

Guess we’ll see how things are when they go up for preorder…

All we have is a title and a date... But someone at Amazon MGM's marketing department wanted to make sure the announcement reached the right audience.

Which I’m not surprised by-
Masters of the Universe is one of the biggest projects they’ve under taken as Amazon/MGM. The last big Amazon/MGM film, Red One, was a bit of a flop (as was the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare), so there’s a lot riding on the viability of a huge, tentpole, release like this that isn’t part of the James Bond franchise.

On Mattel’s part, I’m certain they are hoping this film does for MOTU what the Barbie film did for that franchise

Silver lining, it proves that they know how to make FUN movies, at least.

I think the new scale for 200x is due to the difference between the original figures and the taller/differently proportioned ones. I have an original 200x Trap Jaw and he's quite a bit bigger. That being said, I don't think it was a smart choice. It makes every prior base/vehicle a question as to if it'll fit or not, and I doubt Mattel will remake them all, or that fans would buy them in large enough numbers. Though it's posdible...the reissue of Grayskull in new colors was a total surprise to me (and also incompatible deco-wise with Point Dread...)

I'm probably a curmudgeon anyway, rather than pay aftermarket prices for that Space Suit figure, I just got an orange Roboto during a clearance sale and stood it up in the corner of my Grayskull. Does the job!
