Sweet! Two days away? That's sooner than I expected. I'll have to set aside some time.

"Come along Mr. Bigglesworth, you can be my new Painthor!"
Painthor, as a thing and a concept, is not NEARLY as well regarded as it should be. Forget Panthor, I want all future Skeletors to sport a feline themed apocalypic death cycle called "Painthor"

The delayed multiplatform, Golden Ax inspired, He-Man game, Dragon Pearl of Destruction, has a new release date of September 28.

Amazon has put up preorders for Core Wave 4 with a posted release date of October 1st. This will probably be our last 2026 assortment and any follow ups will seemingly sport the rumored "Battle for Subternia" branding. Possibly with Glow in the Dark gimmicks?

New stuff from SDCC preview night!
Bad news first…Mattel is changing directions for Origins next year, so no 200x Snakemen (Steevy Is BIG sad :( ). BUT, they are now doing Build A Figure waves, featuring another dip into pure Vintage/Filmation styles. One Wave will build a Filmation Shadow Beast, another will create the demon from Masks of Power. In addition to Filmation inspired Stratos, Zodac, and Fakor, they will also be doing a “Fakor Teela” to compliment.

Chronicles, meanwhile, showed off movie Goat Man and Mekanek, while also showing a new direction post-movie. Taking more of a “Classified” route, Mattel will be doing new/reimagined takes on classic characters. First shown are Armored Teela and He-Man, reimagined Sky Sleds (evoking elements of both the recent film and vintage iterations), and a new take on Merman and a REALLY dynamic new design for Clawful (Steevy likes). Plus a neo classic Panthor as well.

That's not " Filmation inspired Stratos, Zodac, and Fakor" that's Back of Package Cross-sell Illustration Stratos, Zodak and Fakor.

-ZacWilliam, most of these except Battle Armor Man-At-Arms and Fake-Her and the build a figures seem to be back of package Cross-sell based.

I've always hated Buil a Figures. It's just an underhanded way to get you to buy an entire wave of figures, including characters you couldn't care less about, just to get the big character.

Still, Battle Armor He-Man was my first ever MotU toy, meaning Masks of Power was my first mini-comic. So I am a bit intrigued by that one.

So finally got to watch the movie. There are criticisms to be had with the humor et al. But who cares? That Skeletor was just hugging perfect! I still hate Jared Leto, but this was the Skeletor I'd hoped for. He was funny, cruel, verbose, everything he needed to be. Just perfect.

It's a really fun film. I'm happy it's doing wonderful streaming so far. #1.

ZacWilliam, not all the humor worked perfectly but it was so cool on the whole it was very easy to look past a couple whiffs.

Depends if Mattel is trying to secure a trademark :p

Might just be “Faker”, but changing it to “-or” feels more in line with MOTU’s naming (PanthOR or NinjOR)

Limited Run Games is doing a physical version, eventually. Not yet, but "SOON"! Probably a little after the game releases digitally, just to get the first wave of fixes on disc, maybe?

I'm in the credits of the movie now. It was...better than I thought. There were moments I cringed and rolled my eyes. But over all, it was actually pretty good. And it had a body count. That was surprising. I may have to get it physically at some point.

Mattel’s brand panel, hopefully better images and better, more concise, info will come later

Curse them…I could sit out these lines, but they HAD to do a kick ass reimagining of my bug boy, Buzz Off. Again, I’m eager to see what Chronicles does now that they’re casting off the shackles of pure nostalgia. And from what I’m seeing? They might just rope me in on the collector range.
