Ironbite-TL;DR: Coke's not actively looking to switch to cane sugar in the US at this time.
The language I saw from Coke suggested more along the lines of "sure. We'll figure out some ways to release more products that use cane sugar, but our main products will continue using corn syrup."
And considering they already make some kind of "throwback" Coke that uses it semi-regularly (I think it's literally just Mexican Coke in a different can, because they still use cane sugar in Mexico), I wouldn't give credit for them deciding "hey, we should do this more often" to Trump or anyone else who just recently called for it.
Just go back to the cocaine recipe, Don Jr will buy the entire stock.
Both will give you diabetes and rot your teeth, but at least cane sugar won't lie to your pancreas about how full you are or punch your liver on the way down.
