He's right for the moment though: democrats shouldn't waste their time bringing up articles of impeachment that will never pass. Wait till it will actually work before you do it, or you're just a democratic MTG.

Yeah. I get the idea behind it, but this is MTG level jive. It won't pass, it won't do anything except feed the persecution complex. Wait till you have the votes, then do it.
At the same time, they want to be seen at least trying to do something, because the biggest problem a lot of Dems get accused of is that they never seem to do anything. So we get performative time wasting, because they don't have the numbers to do anything useful. There's really no winning here.
The only thing lower than Trump's numbers are the democrats. It is very apparent that the entrenched leadership has not met the hour or the moment and has no idea what to do next.
It is well past time to send the elderly to pasture. They don't have to live in the world they're leaving us, we do. And it is high ******* time we had a voice that matched the amount of skin we have in the game. Well past time.

The awful thing is that the US electoral system just keeps it a permanent duopoly with the entrenched two parties. I mean, the similarish system we have here in the UK sort of does the same with the Big Two, but at least we have elements of a multi-party democracy, and outside England the main party setup is different. In any other country in the world, the GOP would’ve collapsed and been replaced by a Trump Party, and the hapless Democrats, well, they would’ve sunk to oblivion likely sooner than the Republicans.
I honestly don't know what most countries do differently from us that makes third parties viable. Only a handful—none of them significant on the world stage—use a ranked ballot system nationwide, and that's the only thing I've ever seen proposed as a solution to the two party hegemony.
