Platner's campaign announced he does not plan to formally file the withdrawal paperwork until Monday, the literal deadline. I'm starting to wonder if he was a plant all along.

With the Dems doing nothing but fighting amongst themselves and doing everything to hold down those candidates who actually have a chance at winning, I don't think any amount of Hopium is going to help. Heck, even Obama is proving himself to be just as bad as the rest of the Corporate Establishment Dems.

Surprising to who, exactly? Lurch has been a constant guest on Newsmax and Fox accusing every other Democrat of having TDS for ages.

At this point there's no way this guy doesn't pull the old "I didn't leave the Democrat party, the Democrat party left me" routine after the elections and become an (I) who caucuses with the GOP.

There's no real point in kicking him out. He knows he's getting primaried, he knows he won't make it past that. He also knows he'll never get the seat running as a republican. His career is over. And even if Strokey McBraindamage doesn't get it, his staff does. At this point they're just getting as much money as they can from appearances and donors and prepping for life after.

Yeah, well, democrats don't think of voting against the party as a crime. While I want to see him gone to: he's not done anything to merit being summarily ejected.

Unfortunately, the only standards the Democratic Party has is based upon swearing unwavering allegiance to AIPAC.
