No but in all seriousness, this is now my most anticipated game. Cozy Dragon Quest Builder like game in a setting I'm actually invested in? Yes, please.

Plus I'm a sucker for WEIRD.

We did it! With over 3 MILLION Shiny Chi-Yu defeated, all four shiny Treasures of Ruin are now available for download over the internet! Go get that Cobalt Carp!

All these Shinies expire on September 30, so remember to go get yours now. Along with so many Tera Shards.

Well, today was supposed to be the day that Gamestop was going to have codes for the shiny Cover Legendaries for Scarlet and Violet. I went to two Gamestop locations...and neither of them had the codes.

I bought a Switch 2 and preordered the next Pokémon game, but still, this is annoying as all get out. And worse, my experience doesn't appear to be an isolated case.

Yeah, it's always kind of a toss up if your local stores will get them in when they're supposed to. This is why I wish it was just a universal code, instead of a store exclusive one. I thought these days of Gamestop-exclusive codes may have been behind us. But, I guess not.

I haven't even tried my local stores yet. Probably next week. This is supposed to go until October 15. So, hopefully, they start shipping the codes to local stores soon.

Looks like the scalpers are out in full force.

We went to our local Gamestop. They're already out of codes- Apparently the latest Pokemon TCG expansion released yesterday. The guy working there said they had people lined around the building, and even some who were waiting at 8pm at night. They might get more later, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

A New PokeToons episode appeared! No official subs, so you have to use auto-translate, again, but it works well enough to get a idea of what's going on.

Went to Gamestop again. They did not get any more codes. Each store in our region only got 50 codes. Oh well.

I gave up on Gamestop and got my shinies through other methods. I am unashamed of this.

I am sleep-deprived as a result, but I am unashamed.

Well, Serebii is reporting that Gamestop now has a "restock" of the Shiny Miraidon/Koraidon codes. They'll just be printed on receipts. Which...I don't know why they didn't do that earlier? That seems like such a simple no-brainer.

...But, they also say that there's still a per-store limit. Which feels silly? But, whatever. You should be able to go to a Gamestop and they should be able to print you off a code starting today.

Apparently it's GameStop's idea to "limit" the codes and not TPCis.

I may go pick up a code today or tomorrow. The thing that irks me with these per-store limits is that, for crying out loud. I spent a good bit of money, more than I actually wanted, to get both Scarlet and Violet. Having spent the money to get both games, when there's an event like this, I want to be able to get the event pokemon for both games. I spent the money for both. Treat both games equally!

I'll just wait until they distribute them somewhere else down the line. It's not worth it to me to hunt for another thing to throw in Home and forget about.

So...we are now flooded with leaks. All kinds of leaks. Z-A leaks. Gen X leaks. Gen XI leaks, even. Cancelled games. Surprise games. Pretty much everything except new Pokemon designs. This house is basically a aquarium at this point.

I'll put this all under spoiler tags and individual categories, so if you care about some leaks and not others, you can try and pick and choose. I just want to talk about some of these a little.

A overview video, talking about most of the leaks:
Legends Z-A:
Some Z-A Shiny Megas:

reddit.com/r/PokeLeaks/comments/1o6hpyg/collage_of_most_new_shiny_mega_pokemon/

They're all a bit goofier than I expected. Excadrill's drills are just so super long, I can't imagine him being able to navigate doorways, it'd be like moving a couch all the time! And Mega Starmie's legs are as...wiggly as the fan-art made them look.

I guess I like Mega Delphox, Chesnaught, and Scoliopede's shinies. And I like Mega Clefable's beret.

Shiny Mega Dragonite is blue! That's a massive upgrade, in my book!

Z-A DLC Mega List:
4so1bnijltuf1.jpeg

Huh. We're getting "Z" Megas for a few Pokemon who previously already had Megas. Neat!

I'm looking forward to seeing Mega Golurk and Golisopod and Megearna and Baxcalibur! Glimmora is a interesting pick to get a Mega, given it's connection to Area Zero.
Legends Z-A was originally going to be set in...:
Johto!
6hmcrw2g4xuf1.jpeg

Man...I kind of want that, now! That would have been a cool game!

Scarlet and Violet's DLC was originally going to be...:
Kalos and Alola instead of Kitakami and Unova!
kumzswimswuf1.png

Gen X:
The Names and Logos will be...:
Wind and Waves!
g8sha0tx00vf1.jpeg

This has been the rumor for a while now. But, it's interesting to get to see the logos. Not much new, but it's just fun to see.

The setting is based on:
Indonesia and Southeast Asia!
7kx6w717ewuf1.png

cyu2t0vzizuf1.jpeg

Not Greece! I'm a little sad about that. I was looking forward to all the mythology they could have built out from that. But, this is still kind of neat. Although, be prepared for complaints about "too much water", I guess.

A new type of Pokemon:
"Seed" Pokemon!
hi3u5ky8jwuf1.png

This could be a bit of a mess. Spinda on steroids, basically. And we all know Gamefreak has had NO PROBLEMS porting Spindas into other games.

Choose your battle style?!:
You can choose Turn Based or Action combat styles!
b2htmkhsd3vf1.jpeg

I didn't see that coming. Going the Final Fantasy 7 Remake route! Huh. Hopefully, Gamefreak can actually pull something like that off.

The "theme" of the game will be "infinity", mostly because they're using procedurally generated islands. Which...has me a bit worried that these island will just be a mess. It kind of sounds like something out of No Man's Sky, or Starfield, or Spore. And none of those games really appealed to me. I tend to prefer something a little more "designed", personally. I guess I hope they look nice, at least. Between this and the new "Seed" Pokmon, they sure are going all in on letting random AI make their designs for them.

The "gimmick" of this game is going to be "Weather Moves". So...Z-Moves, but they're more closely connected to the weather. I guess they gotta get new gimmicks, somehow. Not many details of what they are, exactly, but I'm sure it'll be...fine.

The line about "The past entrusting something to the future" sounds kind of interesting. The Legendaries seem to be a "old couple" who are guiding the players around. So, there does seem to be a theme of passing the torch to the next generation.

The "survival" element has me a little worried. That either means the return of swarming Pokemon, or you'll have to constantly eat in order to keep your strength up. Either way...not sure if I like the sound of that.

Also, we'll be able to explore underwater again! It's been a while! That could be REALLY pretty, with the coral reefs and the lighting, so I'm looking forward to that.

18 Gyms, one for each type! We basically already had that in Scarlet and Violet. But, interesting that it sounds like they're all gyms and not a mix of other challenges, again.

There's a new graphics engine so...hopefully that's a major upgrade, going forward!

All the Pokemon can be ridden or touched/petted! That's a massive upgrade, if it's actually in the game!

Sounds like Gen X will be Switch 2 exclusive. Which, I'm not surprised by. If it really comes out next year, I might not have a Switch 2 yet. But, we'll see.

The game will have...different ENDINGS?! In MY Pokemon?! Depending on if you catch the Legendary, beat all the gyms, and when you fight the final boss.
A possibly-cancelled MMO:
Okay, usually I try to avoid MMOs. But, being able to "walk" all the way from Hoenn, through Johto and Kanto, and then through Kitakami into Sinnoh would be AMAZING! That's kind of a dream game, if they could get it to work. It might have been cancelled though.

But, a MMO set in the entirety of Pokemon Japan would be amazing, and I kind of want to see them do it.

Legends 3 will be...:
Set in Galar, of all places. With a emphasis on Gigantamax battles.
t9hed0f9cxuf1.jpeg

The battle style is the most interesting part of this one. Instead of a team of Pokemon you command, you have a army of Pokemon who join your clan. It looks like you can have a dozen Pokemon you can throw at these "bosses". It's like Pikmin or Little King's Story. Sounds like it's more of a real-time strategy game. Interesting direction to take things in.

Set a 1000 years in the past. With Giant Stone Pokeballs that you can use to Gigantimax your clan members. Interesting.

And hey, Gigantamax Nidoking, maybe. If it makes it into the final game. Neat enough, even though this probably isn't it's final design.

Gen XI will be out in the year...:
2030! Not too long from now. But, still a little longer than some generations got in the Switch era. So, I'm glad they're slowing down, at least a little.

And the theme is the "future". Ooh...a sci-fi setting, perhaps?

"Sudachi" is Scarlet and Violet. "Ikkaku" is Legends Z-A. "Sankaku" is Z-A DLC. "Gaia" is Gen X/Wind and Waves. "Ringo" is Legends 3/Galar. "Seed" is the MMO. "Megaosis" is Pokopia. "Megaturtle" is Home. "Synapse" is Champions.

It's a little worrying that EVERYTHING seems to be getting paid DLC. But...I guess that's not unexpected at this point. *Grumble grumble*
