Agreed. I do like that dark grey, but I'll stick with my original.
I'm sure it would require some serious kitbashing surgery, but it would be pretty neat to see what the two versions of Trypticon would look like with their teal plastics swapped. I'd imagine that the black with translucent teal would look really cool, while the opaque teal on the lighter gray would actually match a bit better since there wouldn't be nearly as much of a jarring color clash as there is with the neon teal and dark black. It would even enhance the TR version's toy-accurate colors, since the original 1986 toy had bright opaque teal too.
This is actually a huge knock against my interest in this thing. I was down for a black (well really dark grey) Trypticon with bright neon pink and teal. The light purple is far less interesting imo.
Same. I've also gotten him a 3D-printed horn off eBay.
My homeboy right here. I depict him as a faction neutral logician because i have grown bored of the AutoBOT Decepticon dynamic. So in my head canon Galactic man is a lawful neutral logician who studies alien species, and uses soldering irons and batteries to repair dying robots.

I'm gonna wait and see if this goes on sale. Considering it's the second Hasbro release of the figure, not everyone is gonna want one (even with the new colors since not everyone will want or be able to double dip), making me a little more hopeful that a sale might happen somewhere.
There's an USKO version of Trypticon out and I would be interested in such a smaller version recoloured as Gigastorm. I think the character was a bit smaller than Trypticon in the cartoon, right?

No, but it is funny that it is Trypticon in one package, and the 5 other PoL items, including 2 leaders, 2 voyagers, and a deluxe, into the other package. Almost like they were scared Trypticon might eat everyone else in the shipping container if they put them together.
