Donnie - Sci-Fi
April - Scarlet
Casey Jones - Storm Shadow
Splinter - General Hawk

Shredder - Battle Armor CC

Rocksteady - Xamot
Baxter Stockman - Mindbender
Leatherneck - Zartan
Kurai- Baroness
Foot Soldier - Bat

Me and a friend were discussing it and decided Chromedome would be the better Armored CC character.

You could do a really sick mash-up of mirror face and the hooded CC by giving him the helmet but making the front a “facemask” of melted metal that flows like the hood.

I shouldn't be surprised. These same peeps decided for the WWE crossover to dress Mikey as Rowdy Roddy Piper and not Raphael.

Raph had the right attitude, but Mikey won them over when he put on his Scottish accent.

-ZacWilliam, Mikey-Shipwreck is the only dead-on turtle/joe choice here for instance...
Speaking of wrestling, I'm not convinced this isn't just an ECW fan working at Playmates doing this to give the nod to Mikey Whipwreck.

Thins are ramping up before Toy Fair in two weeks. For GI Joe Day, Hasbro dropped a BUNCH of render teasers, including:
Airtight, Renegades 2 pack (Taurus and Red Dog), Overkill, Hydro-Viper, Ninja Force (!) Zartan, Swamp Skier with…Zanya(?!). Plus a “hidden” teaser for a new Joe team member. Though, the twin pistols and cowboy hat sure do point to a new version of our favorite helicopter pilot who was previously locked to a HasLab…

I'm probably going to get Overkill on principle (because B.A.T.). Zanya is an interesting choice, has she been in much fiction since the Image/Devils Due series?

This reveal killed me. I can't afford that many Joes. I'm still missing Mercer, Sci-Fi and Crazy Legs and they are all must own for me.

Zartan - I wasn't so keen on this version as a kid but I'm now a sucker for anytime Classified does the latter/weirder stuff so he is a want.

Airtight - One of my favorites as a kid. I rather liked joes with more armored looks and helmets (Tripwire, Airtight, Sci-Fi.)

Overkill - Always liked his design. I honestly didn't think we'd ever get him in Classified. I've gotten all the Bats so far so I absolutely need the Bat Commander.

Hydroviper - my number one most wanted Cobra. We had a ton of this guy as kids and I loved his Monster-y look. Absolutely needed.

And while I'm not attatched to the other two slaughter guys and Zanya the Swamp skier is great and the sculpts look pristine.

-ZacWilliam, trying to think whose left on my most wanted list... Fast Draw, BAAT, maybe Toxo-viper, Robo-JOE.

BAAT, the flying Sigma Six B.A.T.s (those were a thing, right? I didn't just imagine them?), and Spy Troops/VvsV Overkill are my shortlist of NEEDED figures. Also, the Cobra Robot from the early Marvel comic, but only because it would scale nicely with 3-3/4 figs.

While Hasbro dropped some render reveals last weekend, some legit leaks have occurred: In addition to an in package shot of Ninja Force Zartan, an in package sample of the Cobra-La Royal Guard. The unique packaging on the Cobra La Soldier points to him being another SDCC/Pulse exclusive.

I will admit that the decision to restrict Cobra La to SDCC/Pulsecon exclusivity dampened a LOT of overall enthusiasm for Classified. Given my inability to acquire more “important” (to me) characters, the Royal Guard being an exclusive just feels par for the course and I’ll unlikely get one.

Zartan looks fine, but given cut backs that I’ve had to make, probably not something I’ll end up with. I appreciate the use of pink in his art though.

Hasbro isn’t the only one dropping new GI Joe news, the next wave of ReAction+ has popped up online:
Chuckles (cartoon)
Oktober Guard Diana (cartoon version)
Flash (comic with removable helmet)
Hydro-Viper (Action Force Monthly #14 deco)
And art of a Falcon repaint in blue and grey/white (rumored to be a Target exclusive)

I will say the Hydro-Viper is a great surprise, though the deco is a REALLY deep cut. That said, it doesn’t look bad, and I’m always for later year stuff making into these lines. Some solid sculpt work, especially on the hands where you can see the “webbing” without compromising the use of a hand like with the original figure. Chuckles and Diana are welcome to help fill out those cartoon groups.
Flash will be highly desired by the old school comic fans. While Hasbro was able to give the character a nice headsculpt during the mid-2000s comic pack days, they never got around to a “proper” remake due to tooling and timing issues. Closest fans got was a Club figure using Star Brigade parts with the comic pack head. So I think this will make a lot of old farts happy.

I'm beginning to understand. From the outside Classified looks so well done that I'm tempted to experience it, but it's just outside my collection range. I collect robots. But B.A.T. counts. And I like generics/troopers, and B.A.T. counts for that too.
Yeah, for many years, and with a few exceptions, I pretty much let my brothers collect GI Joe while I was the Gobot and Transformer guy. The main exception was the B.A.T.s; I always liked those robot troopers with the swappable arm attachments, and kept collecting as many as I could. Classified is too big for my purposes, but I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the B.A.T. because I always figured I could pass it off as a one-off giant version along with my 3-3/4" army. Then they started releasing all the variant versions, like Arctic and Iron Grenadier, and I couldn't quite stop...

Iron Grenadier is the most appealing deco to me so far. I don't know what the basis is for it, but it looks neat.

My cousin had a B.A.T. It was always one of my favorites to play with when visiting my aunt's house, and it's one of the few Classified figures I'd really like to own.

(The other is General Hawk.)

I just love the robot versions of a line's action figure aesthetics, I guess: Roboto, Metalhead, B.A.T... probably some others I'm not thinking of.

The Toybook has revealed, in their interview with Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks, the new Classified Cobra La Royal Guard. Priced at $42.99 (aka, deluxe figure), the figure will be available for preorder on February 17th at the usual retailers.

I’m tempted, but unless they announce new versions/reruns of Pythona and Nemesis Enforcer, I’m not going to get into Classified Cobra La ”half cocked”.

At a Midtown Comics event with Larry Hama, he revealed a new Classified release: Dawn Moreno Snake Eyes, one of the three (!) versions of Snake Eyes running around in his ARAH comic.

‘Tis Toy Fair eve, and all the companies are making their announcements.
Playmates has officially revealed TMNTxGI Joe. Additional details not mentioned in the original leak is that Bebop and Rocksteady are Ripper and Buzzer, there will be TWO April figures, with the AWE Shell-Shocker coming with an exclusive version; and Slash has been co-opted into being Storm Shadow. Products are expected to see release this summer:

Super7 hasn’t been slacking either, with the formal announcement of wave 7 of ReAction+, featuring Diana, Chuckles, Flash and the Action Force flavored Hydro-Viper

Also announced are the Comic Collector Series, which seem to be the spiritual successor of the old comic packs. Cobra Commander is first up, styled as he appears in the first issue of the ARAH comic, which is also included. Press material points to their being multiple offerings slated through the year.

It’s the 250th birthday for the United States, and Super7 is celebrating with a special set of Reaction+ figures. Deco’ed in red, white and blue, the set features special stands and offers Duke, Falcon, Snake Eyes, and the premiere release of Lady Jaye in this format

Krang as Destro is brilliant, and that Cobra Shredder looks pretty slick.

Can't tell the difference between the regular April and the AWE Striker April, though.
