Aside from my mouse still being screwy, my arms are a bit tired from all the climbing this week.

So here's where that Not Cap from a couple weeks ago came from. The next panel was him turning to look at the camera as he hears someone else enter the room.

My mouse is finally working again, so I've finally done a December avatar.

Everything up to this point was leftovers from October. I kinda went nuts that month.

I tried to get a picture of him sleep standing, for an "I'm still standing" final drawing of 2025, but then his forelegs gave out. I understand.

Just practice this week. It's a new year and I want to tweak how I do some things.

I had no ideas this week. Nothing.

So here's another thing from my stash of unfinished stuff from October.

Nightcap: Why are those insects glowing. That's not natural!

Kid: They're fireflies.

Nightcap: That's devils magic!

Kid: They're fireflies.

This is a glimpse of the first version of the scene at the top of this page. Not!Cap is working late for a reason I hadn't decided yet. Rhapsody enters the room, offering some light. Not!Cap misinterprets Rhapsody's actions as friendly, but she's just watching his reaction.

Then the tone of the whole comic changed, and I started over with the "We're out of ink" version. Doing two versions of just about every scene stopped me from getting very far.

Okay I didn't have a bad week, but it could hit the 30s here this weekend.

Single digits here...all week. I drink coffee as much to keep warm as I do for the caffeine at this point!

Mouse is borked again, so it's back to the October folder.

A Hearts and Hooves Day special, I guess.

Oh that's so perfect. And I'm betting he absolutely thought he was telling the truth!

Originally... he wasn't.

Okay this one doesn't come from the October folder (well, the top panel doesn't) but it is adapted from one version of the ending. Static and Rhapsody were going to confront a very exhausted Not!Cap, who was not going to understand what gave it away. He thought he was doing what everyone expects of him.

"Who told you that?"

*cut*

"You lied to me."

And Night Cap was not sorry.

I decided it was out of character, so I started stalling while I thought of what to do instead, and never figured it out.
