Toys First Look at Cyberworld Season 2 Figures

From Joshua Reese on Transformers Botposting on Facebook, we have our first look at Season 2 Transformers Cyberworld figures. The photos feature both toys present at NY Toy Fair as well as some renders. The toys feature some returning characters as well as some new to the toyline. All include translucent sections representing an Energon Surge as the theme of the line. See the gallery below for a first look at these upcoming toys!

Tigatron's beast head looks more like a polar bear's than a tiger, but whatevs.

Hound and Shockwave look great.

Big Bumblebee sure is a series of design choices.

Soundwave is intriguing. Is that a helmet/mask (and if so, whhhhhhy) or does he just have a huge head?

I like how he and Hound are not their normal altmodes. We need more of that IMO.

Cyberword does this fairly often. Mirage is a Jet, Elita is a boat (sure its been done once before, but still not her normal altmode), Megatron is a Bull, some kinda non-tank Miltary transport, now a Drill Tank which is the closest to normal but still kinda different, Shockwave is some kinda reptile, Primal has a truck mode, Airachnid is an actual spider which she hasnt atually been. Optimus has an offroad truck mode along with his standard Semi.

Scourge is a pirate ship

Right, but most of the core guys in S1 were not oddballs- Optimus (initially), Bumblebee, Starscream, Wheeljack, Grimlock. Megatron and Mirage were the only real oddballs among the most-frequently-getting-new-toys/ most recognizable characters.

Which G1 Scourge is not on either of those lists.
Wasn't talking about Scourge, who I hadn't seen, just the guys I mentioned in the previous comment. (And Shockwave, who IMO is on that core category.)

It's one thing for lower-tier characters and randos to get wacky new modes and another for the easily recognizable ones.

Like in another thread about Megatron only pretty recently mostly being a tank-- it's one thing to re-invent Killer Moth or Night Nurse or Batroc the Leaper. Re-inventing Red Skull or The Penguin into alien cyborg pirates would be different.

Loving the designs, but not the toys as collectors. I would love to get a Generations/SS versions of all the Cyberworld Decepticons if Hasbro ever do them. I'll probably get Shockwave & Scourge regardless.

For a YT show, it's actually more fun than TT's Wildking and I'm glad Hasbro gave so much room for the show runners & toy designers go wild with the designs.

We need more pirate ships Transformers in our life!

Maybe it's the sort of thing that they'll revisit when today's kids are older collectors, the way they did with bringing some of the Rescue Bots into the recent main line.

Not that I want to wait 10-15 years for a fully articulated Leader Class pirate Scourge or Voyager Megabull, but I have very little influence on Hasbro's decisions.
