Amazon Canada is starting to put up listings for the rollout of Mattel's DC Core line this summer. First out, we've got official images for the two deluxe figures, Heat Vision Superman and Mecha Suit Batman:
Mecha Suit Batman is a bit more basic, but the removable helmet is nice and the detail work looks solid

Then we have the Nu52 inspired Heat Vision Superman. Featuring "break out restraints" and a heat vision effects piece WITH light up eyes. Very nifty

Pricing is $30 in snow dollars, probably be a bit cheaper down here with freedom bucks. Given these are supposed to scale with the Core Basic line, I think Mattel is doing a fine job in creating a pair of figures that compliment the existing line up, but don't retread on offerings at the cheaper price point.

Cool Absolute Batman figure. Where's the mech, though?

That's not Absolute Batman...no big ass ax! :p

Promo images are starting to hit for more of the DC Core rollout due this summer. Here, we got the 12" "Crime Crusher" Batman figure.

Wave 1 DC Core figures. Batman, Robin, Joker and Flash. Retail will be around $13. Interesting to see that the heroes don't come with any major accessories outside outside their sprues besides Joker, who not only gets a unique shooting weapon, but comes with alternate heads for the other figures in the wave. That's a really novel feature, and I wonder if this will portend other "one per wave" heavily accessorized figures. The Batman looks nice, but it's NOT nice that Mattel is teasing me with that classic oval on the package art, but still using that damned ReBirth sigil.
