Apperently they are getting bought up by scalpers and have sold out. Even the separate controllers are going for $160 on eBay now.
I am so glad I'm no longer "in" to that like I once was.

I am just going to get a regular Series X from the local retro shop the next time they get one in. I need to replace my Xbone since it got fried by the lightning strike, so I might as well get one of those since I don't know whether it would be worth the wait for the next gen if it doesn't have disk support. They have been awfully careful about that, dodging the question like Neo when asked.

So I went to the local retro video game store, and got an Xbox One S, as the wife wanted to get some white Xbox to match the new white JBL surround receiver.

Unfortunately, it kept glitching after I spent an hour setting it up. So now I have to take it back and see if I can return it and buy the Xbox One X that they have.

I messaged the folks at the store on FB and they were able to swap it out, and now I have a working Xbox One S! The glitch was happening on the send data to publishers screen I found out after setting up the second one.

I still want to get an Xbox Series X one day, but I want to see what the next Xbox is like before I get one. If the Series X is the last Xbox with a disk drive, then it will be the last Xbox I get and there is no rush for it.
