Gamespot.com have revealed a slew of upcoming Hasbro exclusives that will be available "exclusively on-site at the Hasbro booth at select conventions, including the New York Comic Con and MCM London" as well as on HasbroPulse.com. And one of them is a $75 exclusive pack featuring a cab-only retool of Legacy Evolution's Commander class Armada Optimus Prime into Nemesis Prime... wielding the Star Saber superweapon itself, comprised of three converting Air Defense Mini-Cons!

Still wielding his rifle and arm blasters (as well as the Matrix? Doomstone?), Nemesis Prime features an uncannily distorted new visage. He's also joined, somehow, by Air Defense-colors Runway, Jetstorm, and Sonar in this exclusive pack, all the better to feud with Hot Shot over whether these Mini-Cons stay on the side of good or turn to the dark side. Without any need for light-piping to accommodate a light-up gimmick, the Mini-Cons have no clear plastic and should be a mite less fragile than their predecessors. One hopes the photodegradation of recent years spares them, as well.

Are you planning to add this to your modernized Armada collection?

For its time the bendy Prime mold was pretty advanced. This new iteration doesn't look much different given how little they would have had to "fix"

The price tag could have had a little less adjustment though.

Oh, I was hoping he'd have a trailer, too.

And a faceplated face.

I was hoping for that too. And a Dark Saber team, rather than just Star Saber. Though I’m not complaining that they are here at all.

The new face is pretty good.

I want the Star Saber, but I don't $75 want it, and I don't care for the included Nemesis Prime. I'd rather just have the old bendy Prime version. If there is no included trailer, being able to turn into a torso is just a tease. I don't care for the head either. Molded battle damage can work, but it's jarring when the head looks like that but the whole rest of the toy is pristine.

It is very frustrating, but the more I look at it, the more I agree with you. Full on Nemesis with the trailer and a Dark Saber redeco of the team was my hope. But yeah, 75 for regular Star Saber and a…surprisingly plain looking Nemesis. It might be show accurate.

And yeah, the now vestigial torso mode is… I mean, you’re not gonna put it on the regular Armada trailer.

And saying all that, I did really want this to be great.
