Which just so happens to be using the same rainbow-cotton candy clouds that you can see on the social media post announcing the SDCC panel. Lazy designers? Or are the two connected? We should know by next week or so!

Now I'm wondering if one reason for the recent absolute radio silence is they want to do a simultaneous international rollout. It's a secret to everybody until they're in a position to reveal it to everybody.

I'll put them under spoiler tags, because they'll probably be officially revealed in the next few days. But, this gives us a chance to get used to them.

You know what? I don't hate 'em!

Supposedly, the show will be called "Forever Friendship". And...it MIGHT still basically be about that multi-generation camp-setting we heard about before. Or maybe not. We'll see about that part of the rumor.

I do wish we could see them in actual motion, just to know what the animation will be like. But, for right now? I like what I'm seeing. I mean, they're basically just the G4 designs with slightly extra hair highlights. But it works!

I'm not sure if the "echo" Cutie Marks on other parts of their bodies will be a permanent thing, or just something we see when they "power up". We'll have to see about that.

I kind of like the bluish-green on Fluttershy. It works for her. Green really is her color.

The blue on Pinkie Pie also looks pretty good. It gives her a "rave" look, which fits.

Twilight and Rainbow are both too similar to their old selves, so I don't really have much to say about them.

So, yeah, so far, I like it! Hopefully, we get a *little* snippet of the animation at SDCC. Or at least hear the new voices, or something. But, so far, I'm hopeful. This could be good! We're pretty starved for pony-content, so I'll take what we can get, at this point.

Yeah, not bad. I hope the animation style is reflective of this, because while the 3d CGI version made for a very nice world: the ponies were kinda weird.

My first thought was they look busy, but I think it's just the distracting effects in the foreground. I prefer simplicity but there was definitely some thought put into the extra colors here. It looks like they're keeping G5's superior limb anatomy, so yay for that. There's potential. Let's see them in motion.

I don't like the idea of having our smallest core cast yet. I hope this is just the starter herd and a lot more characters will get top billing once they're introduced.
