40th Anniversary Haslab: RID2001 Omega Prime

No mounting points on the light bars that I know of. They also pop off their shallow pegs easily.

So far I really like them, much more than I expected, but I also got very lucky and had no breaks out of the box, and got them late enough to have read up on the problem areas. That being said, I am still checking them with a hand lens every so often so if a problem starts I can report and fix it before it gets worse, and some things, like the immovable waist plastic-box-ratchet double hinge, or the oversprung hips, were just more issues on top of the ones I expected. Quality Control like this does make me very hesitant for any future no-way-to-get-reviews preorders.

Finally had the chance to open mine. No cracks, sanded the T bar which was extremely tight. All good. one day I'll have enough time to actually play with the set, but today is not that day.

I'm assuming this doesn't include the wand, but does include the cable? And I asked this in the Ghostbusters thread, but has any HasLab gotten a remold/revision release?

It definitely doesn't include the wand, but it mentions it's compatible with both the previously released Spenglar and 1984 wands and there's a hose in the image so it must come with one.

I mentioned it in the Ghostbusters thread, but:

They put out a smaller DTC Marvel Sentinel after that Haslab, but it wasn't even remotely the same figure.

Mine arrived. It's untransformable unless I open it up to sand it. It would definitely shatter the torso if I forced it.

Not very impressed at all.

Then do so. Save that torso from destruction so that it can be transformed. The fix only takes a few brief minutes and is easy as pie to do.

Mine has arrived, OP's chest is stuck on the first copy, but I not tried forcing it down and plan to do the fix or at least look at what involved, have a second copy that's still sealed, I not done much with them as it arrived this evening so I had it in for less than two hours of writing this post, I'll fiddle more tomorow, or Saturday, but this QC issue should of never happened on a top level product, so going forwards when they finally have a proper fix and stuff, with the Haslab in development, LioKasier, they should not crowd fund any more TFs until people have that one in hand to show that QC has been restored

I admire the design so much. I already liked RID Ultra Magnus in all his goofiness but the proportions here are clearly better without losing the funk. They drastically slimmed down the Omega Prime torso. This should have been a home run.

It still is once the fix is done. Only takes a few short minutes to turn precaution to perfection.

Even with the prospect of an initial QC challenge, this is a gorgeous set and it's a shame to have to miss out.

Same mostly true for Liokaiser. But that's how it's gotta be for the foreseeable future. C'est la vie.
