Yup, Peoria Il, I'm in Decatur. I'll need to check out When Toys Were Toys, never been there, but we find ourselves up that way occasionally.
I didn't notice what they had on Blur, but nothing there is priced unreasonably.
I didn't buy this mold because I wasn't attached to Armada Prime, but I've been hoping for a repaint that could be used as a new character on my shelf. My ideal deco would be the Powerlinx version, but this is very tempting, too. I love that's it's a deep blue instead of black.
Went to go see the band Cake at an outdoor concert last night in Peoria. While in town, we stopped by Urban Artifacts which is an amazing antique store. We had just checked out and were getting ready to leave and chatting with the cashier when I noticed a box behind her with an Optimus Prime...
There was a time when I would have considered this madness, but after getting a "Cancelled G2 Decos" subline, I would not be COMPLETELY shocked by a a line composed entirely of animation-error original characters, and I would be among the first in line for it.
Yeah, I finally got a chance to watch the stream, and it was basically a "maybeeeeee" while holding a finished Monstructor behind their backs. Like, they're not allowed to say "yes it's coming," but... yes. It's coming.
Yeah, I've actually accumulated quite a few tiny combiners over the years (Volcanicus, Dinoking, Infernocus, Prime Abominus, Legends-class Bayverse Devastator, a Legends-scaled KO G1 Devastator, most of the Power Core Combiners) and I love them all. I like having tiny versions of things.
I'm at work, so I haven't had time to watch the livestream yet, but I did get in a quick preorder on Megatron. I'm going to regret it later when the inevitable 2-pack with Optimus in toy decos comes out, but that's a problem for Future Donocropolis. Screw that guy!
Yeah, that's pretty much the story. It was fairly common at the time for parents to send their kids in alone to watch G rated movies, so that means only 1 ticket sold per kid. But PG rated movies were more of a "parent should probably stay with the kid through the movie" thing (it seems odd...
Yeah, the set still had a lot of the parts on the sprues, and the parts that were off the sprues looked barely used. I had been pining for some ever since seeing Haywire's collection.
Well, after keeping an eye on ebay for reasonably priced Robolinks sets, I bought an almost complete Force 30 that came with a smattering of other bots/accessories. While very fun to mess with on their own, I also love that the various Modulator style bots can mix with them as well.
