I picture fan-jet mode for Titan Skorponok as the hardest-to-swish-around altmode since G1 Fortress Maximus (though I've been told TR Maximus is even harder due to its legs not staying up, I don't know that for sure, as I don't have any Titans except Omega and Trypticon).
Plus Armada/Energon/Cybertron were, to one extent or another, hugely gimmick-based, and in the modern day, it will usually come across as more of a model OF the character the original toy was made for, rather than a remake of the toy anyone remembers. The number of gimmicks molded into Armada...
Could be worse. I look at the combined form, and I keep getting Ronald McDonald impressions for it, though for the life of me I'm not sure why. I think it's the golden mouth arches or something...
Edit: You know, Jetfire IS technically a space alien, all these guns and their accessories...
Jetfire: "I want knees!" (Monkey's Paw curls, his gun looses all its special features)
Jetfire: "I want knees for my OTHER knees!" (Monkey's Paw hesitates, starts looking through a stack of stability-reducing design flaws)
Jetfire: "I want a whole new Requiem Blaster with the original cast!"...
Given the way this team works, I could easily see the SpaceWarp deco later to go with Armada Nemesis. Then we can have SwordFight Jetpants vs. SpaceGun Jetpants. Assuming by that point that hidden design flaws don't cause all their partner weapons to break in weird ways before the fight ever...
"Why my torso hurt...?"
"Because you stood right under that anvil..."
"Oowwww....."
-Seriously, it looks like the aftermath of a cartoon gravity related accident....
Given that we never saw the smaller scale Fortress Maximus that was rumored, if it even was real in the first place, I could see this Skorponok either being a remake of Energon or a Marvel interpretation (or both, depending on how creative the remolding is) to counter that same Fort Max if he's...
Well, on a serious note, my original Requiem Blaster did have some serious issues with stability, mostly the slotted connections between AstroScope and Skyblast, that I blamed on a mix of loose friction joints holding most of Astroscope together combined with thin plastic for the missile to slot...
I wonder if Skyblast waves his tiny arms around frantically while screaming, Invader Zim's 'GIR' style.
Edit: Never mind, I figured it out. Skyblast's hollow barrel, AstroScope's hollow barrel, it's all just an obvious Kiss Players Manga homage. I was way off.
Jetfire and the Minicons all look to have put on some weight during their retirement. And what happened to the front of the rocket...?
Maybe they had someone draw spacecraft from memory.
I just assumed that Optimus Primal in this continuity was very poor, and so he decided to transform into his own coffin to save future funeral expenses. He had the traditional Maximal funeral in this universe where they ceremonially shove the coffin into the first passing large cyber-animal, and...
With all these Bee molds that aren't very big I'd love a commemorative/Selects/whatever set of one of them painted up nicely, with a simple Pretender shell. Posability on par with Oil Slick/Double Pretender Prime should be doable and only half the set needs to be new.
If they're so desperate to make money off existing molds, we need to take that shoe-mode Sports Label Optimus Prime/Megatron, remold the head into Starscream, and then make it in a lot of different colors as the Sneakers.
Ah, ok. I knew about both but I hadn't realized it was a total transition. So the most likely Bugbite would be the same Bumblebee they used for their last one, rather than the long-hood Cliffjumper version...
