And people thought the explanation of midiclorians was terrible :p I don’t know, call me a traditionalist, but I think the idea of Gotham’s social corruption being caused by a hidden demon and bad juju is a little “extra”. If you get my meaning.

Not only that, but I think the “legally distinct, but recognizable” nature of the selections have helped. Hasbro’s probably not going to do Hector Ramirez any time soon, nor is a “suited” Joe Colton likely a priority. But BBTS has got you covered with “close enough” interpretations in their...

The Mad Monk (or just “Monk”) is an EARLY Golden Age Batman villain. As in, one of the first costumed villains he ever fought. They took some liberties here, and added in some of the later mythology about the bat-demon, Barbatos. The only reason I recognized him was because I had read the...

Nintendo has started their “Customer Appreciation Sale”…and it’s a joke. Unless you’re looking for markdowns on Amiibos. 30% off Amiibos isn’t a bad deal. Joy-Cons for the Switch 1, it isn’t a terrible sale either. But games? Total joke. No Switch 2 anything (aside from the camera and cross...

I managed to get Thursday off to go see the screening. I figure that my poor ass isn’t going to get THAT much farther in life or be able to take a meaningful vacation for years, so I might as well enjoy little things like this while I can.

This weekend is “Batman Day”, so WB is rolling out a number of films for limited theatrical engagements. The only worthwhile one, Mask of the Phantasm, will be only on Saturday (at least at my AMC). I have managed to get the evening off to go see it. Batman 89 and The Lego Batman Movie are...

It’s Blizzcon, boys. Diablo news a plenty- Netflix is reportedly working with Blizzard for some sort of Diablo animated series It’s the 30th Anniversary, so Diablo 4‘s next season (this week), Season of Hell’s Legacy, will be bringing back fan favorite Deckard Cain and revisiting classic...

I’d also throw in that I’d like to see some integration of more “traditional” RPG mechanics, like XP. Maybe even throw in some unique “usage leveling” and allow us more freedom in our weapons, or reward us for using certain weapons/items more.

Coyote vs Acme is now available for preorder on both digital and for a Limited Edition Steelbook edition (which includes both Blu-ray and 4K BluRay). $40 if going physical, which I did for the general support of the film. No release date, but I’m expecting it to see release around Christmas...

That’s weird. Even the iOS/Mac version is around 22GB. So either it’s an error, or Capcom did some optimization and are leveraging some back end stuff to maintain performance parity?

Saw that myself when I got my PS5 is all my old PSP/PSOne Classics I had purchased on my PSP/Vita were still logged in the system. So long as it was the original version, I had access to older titles. Didn’t help me on games like FF7 or Legends of Mana or Symphony of the Night where “newer”...

Hasbro had a Fan Stream today, revealing a new wave of "Mini-Comic Legends" and a holiday edition of Spider-Man. Of note with this assortment is home to a new Marvel Legends iteration of Acroyear, styled after his appearance in the Marvel Comics. Acroyear and this entire assortment are planned...

GOG has been doing an admirable job of Game Preservation these last few years, and they have been working hard to make old games playable without changing them. Today, their Vault guy did a deep dive into the preservation effort for Nox, an ARPG from Westwood released at the height of the...

Mattel is teasing a new collab project: Hot Wheels X Transformers Bumblebee. Presumably a die cast transforming VW Bumblebee similar to the Optimus Prime released...last year? 2024? https://tformers.com/57426

The fact Christopher Lee wasn't cast as Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man in the World" is a travesty

The full direct for today. Not horrible, but I think we've fallen to the point where Switch 2 is catching up to other 3rd party consoles and after being spoiled by a massive backlog during the early Switch 1 days, Nintendo's slate has slowed. Or, Nintendo saw the success the WiiU ports to the...
