The one I got and the ones I've seen are smart brick compatible...which probably part of what makes them more expensive. But the smart bricks aren't included and they have a cover block so it looks fine without the brick. I didn't buy a smart brick with mine just because I couldn't understand...

All built and looking pretty. I'm not sure what the sign post is meant for, but I will say, you may have to look carefully for the sticker sheet. I wasn't able to find it and had to scrounge through the box. I mostly got it for the Umbreon.
