I like Armada Unicron for what he is. I think I would have hesitated to call his alt mode a ball even at the time, though. He's more a robot folded up into a blocky egg with a rounded shell covering a third of it.

I had that Jetfire. Armada was the first TF series that launched after I started my career, so I was going full completionist at that point. By the time I was ready to move back home to Michigan six years later, it was time to scale back some. I ended up not liking the redecos as much, so I gave...

Not many of my childhood toys are still around, but that's mostly just been due to general wear and tear over years of play rather than due to particular events. I can think of a few cases, though. Megatron was a fragile toy, so he probably wouldn't have survived my childhood regardless...

I couldn't come up with any others, and the only other named character I could find on the wiki is Raikuru, who seems to have even less presence than Clipper. I would love to see a Blue Bacchus. If one were made to match the old Generations Deluxe Black Shadow, I'd happily hit up eBay for him...

4 of 5 here. I passed on Omega. Way too big for the character. I'm definitely interested to see what the next one will be. Ideally, I'd love to see a Primus to match Unicron and cap off AotP. My second pick would be a full-sized Monstructor, but I don't see that happening so soon after the...

He was definitely referred to as Megatronus in both RiD and the PWT, and was definitely considered the main antagonist in the story arcs where he was featured. I can't recall if he might have also been referred to as The Fallen at some points.

He's the legend who exists. What more do you need to know? :p

Yeah, complaints specifically about the back sound like SS86 Ravage. I know there were always a lot of people who complained about MP Ravage in general, but not about his back specifically that I can recall. Personally, while I can accept that he's not necessarily as great as the other MP...

That pic of Grimlock standing upright is a horrible photo, even by usual Hasbro stock photo standards. It makes it look like he's wearing a gigantic diaper that ended up not being big enough. If I'd been planning to buy him, that picture would make me pause and reconsider.

I bought my original Virtual Boy new for $25 back when Nintendo discontinued it. I appreciate it, but if I'm honest, I probably overpaid. The mix of being incredibly uncomfortable to play and having only a handful of mediocre games is definitely not a good combo.

It seems the Target stocker must have hit up their contact in Botswana. Hot Rod is currently back in stock. Just since I woke up, my local store's stock has dropped from 3 to 1, and the rest of my nearby stores are out, so I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back out of stock quickly.

So Sunday was officially the release date for SS86 Hot Rod. I've been checking the Target site regularly. Saw him show up as available at my local store earlier, but apparently went out of stock before I could check out. It's now just flat out showing as unavailable, which is how Earthspark...

Also worth noting that Classics class and Champion class refer to the same thing. They aren't two separate assotments. Blokees renamed that class from Classics to Champion at some point.

So I've been thinking some more about the upcoming Monstructor. He's never going to be the Monstructor I really want, but I do appreciate some of what they've done with these toys. In particular, they've done a nice job integrating features from their shells into their monster modes in ways that...

The more I look at the SS86 version, the more I dislike it. Not just the robot mode, but the alt modes too. The feet sticking out from under the shuttle's nosecone look like a jaw. I now can't see the shuttle as anything other than an Astrotrain-colored Sky Lynx. Which, on its own, is kinda...

Continuing the trend of this being the worst timeline, Netflix has dropped its bid for WB. Not for any reason like avoiding monopolies or anything. No, this is because they're conceding the bid to Skydance, which is now free to take over all of WB, barring regulatory roadblocks. Of course...

I said I initially liked Siege better, but would hold off judging SS86 until I saw more. I've never felt so stupid for not jumping to my conclusion quicker.

Our Service Merchandise was also right across the road from the mall with the KB, just on the opposite side of the mall from TRU. I remember that we went there at times when I was a kid. I remember that we would place orders at the counter in the middle of the store, and I remember waiting for...

My main KB memory is finding all of the first wave of Armada there. It was the summer of '02. I had just moved to San Diego for my first real job after college. Was also just before I got married. It was an eventful time. I'm sure I got stuff from KB stores before that, but don't remember...

I finally broke down and bought a United Windcharger & Wipe-Out set just a couple months ago. Therefore, I assume an announcement of a new and relatively affordable Wipe-Out is imminent. You're welcome. 😆
