Welp, they get to keep plugging the wave 1 toys with the show. ---Dave

It does look like they're skipping straight to the "weird and hard to control ionic powers" phase. Sadly, that means there will probably be a story credit for Gerard Jones. ---Dave

It does seem this line is officially a Walmart exclusive, to judge from the BWTF news piece on the Dinobots set. ---Dave

I don't think I've ever watched the whole G98 movie (I caught the last 20-30 minutes on TV once), but I really liked the cartoon followup. IIRC, they even echoed Kiryu by having their Mecha-G be built around the corpse of the movie Zilla. (It did suffer from the problem of other licensed US...

December reviews up. ---Dave

Five Below just sent me an email bragging about all their new merch. Looks like just cheap backpacks, t-shirts, and posters though. ---Dave

Shin Godzilla: the real monster is bureaucracy. Neon Genesis Evangelion: men will do anything rather than get therapy. ---Dave

Just a simple piece, added the helmet stripe and the eyeblack. I decided to not try the Packers logos on the sides of the helmet, since they'd be cut by the seams. ---Dave

Took me over an hour to build Megatronus. It looks very nice, but soooo many pieces (and kinda hard to read instructions involving black and dark purple parts). ---Dave

(I do seem to have been misinformed about Blokees starting in Japan.) Apparently the licensing deal for Medabots ended up falling down a legal hellpit, one of those "we own the rights but refuse to use the property or let it revert" situations that happens all too often. But that finally got...

There's also Twin Dorado, which is a hybrid of Twin Mill and Deora. ---Dave

Yes, Blokees started in Japan. And Medabots was in the news recently (last week, I think) about the rights finally going back to the creators, so something like a Blokees deal could be on the table. ---Dave

I got tenure, although it doesn't mean as much at a community college. Planning to go for full professor next year, because for reasons lost to the mists of time, my school separates tenure status from rank. ---Dave

Snarluto. ---Dave
