Ultra R Stack

I've seen the Insecticons at a few Targets. I've only seen Starscream once. Still no sign of Prowl. Seems like they're staggered for whatever reason.

Given the crunch involved in Armada's production, they were probably just happy to have gotten the script recorded at all.

Yeah. Speculation was that the Magna Defender, being a whole new mould, didn't have the budget for a Mike civilian head. Some people were using spare Jason heads for him, but seeing as my LC display is Lost Galaxy and S1 MMPR... that wasn't viable. So I bit the bullet on a third party Mike head...

Nah, I don't agree. Marvel Zombies is a side thing. IDW 1.0 was the main comic continuity for thirteen years. And is, in fact, the longest continuous ongoing continuity in Transformers history. I'm not 100% on that, but I'm pretty certain, and if not, it's damn close. So no, I wouldn't compare...

Thing is, at the time I just assumed Vector was one of Optimus' distant predecessors as a Matrix bearer sent in a time travelling mission of great destiny or whatever. I had no idea he was intended to be a member of the Thirteen at the time. You could make the argument that by letting Rodimus...

"I'm not saying it was Quintessons... but it was Quintessons."

Never said it was. Hell, I don't even disagree with most of what you're saying. What I was pointing out was that IDW was not immune from having some fun at Rodimus' expense. It also engaged in some good old fashion Go Bots slander, by having Megatron kill Cy-Kill in the gladiatorial pits in...

Because it's not relevant. How IDW chose to depict Optimus has little bearing on how it chose to depict Hot Rod/Rodimus. You're (mostly) not wrong. I'm merely pointing out that Hot Rod being the butt of the joke happened in IDW, and I find it really interesting to see how some examples of that...

"When you became Optimus Prime—when you assumed the title—the world didn't know the truth about Nova and Nominus and the rest. Back then, being a Prime meant demonstrating—no, actually—embodying certain standards of behavior... it meant decency and integrity and—and morality—and all sorts of...

The Animated one was weird because Sentinel Prime was originally Rodimus Prime, but Hasbro didn't like the idea of Rodimus Prime being a jerk, so they used the one other named Prime the franchise had at the time. You'd think they wouldn't be so protective of him if they were so willing to...

Very much so. @lastmaximal is right, we have looped around to page one. And I won't repeat myself there. Still... I think it's worth saying... who cares? I mean it. Who cares? At this point the people who can't get over people who can't get over Optimus dying are just as bad as the people...

I'm a huge fan of Skybound's run so this was always going to be a must get, but holy hell the paint on this thing is beautiful.

I was going to pass on the SS '86 Seeker mould entirely, as I am quite happy with the ER versions, and even prefer a lot of the aesthetic aspects of ER. Still, Starscream is one of my favourite characters, so I bit when I found him in Target. I like him. The engineering is very clever and fun...

Very nice, thanks!

Me in the theatre when they announce an animated adaptation of the Deviations comic guest staring AI Peter Cullen and ElevenLabs Adam as the Starscream combiner Honestly though, I don't think any of this is that serious. The whole idea of an "Apology Tour" for the '86 movie is taking the piss...
