I don't really consider the PSP to be an ancestor of the smart phone. There IS a clear lineage between palmtop computers and smartphones, though. Palmtops led to the the Apple Newton which lead to the palm pilot which led to the palm trio which is a DIRECT ancestor to modern smartphones...
Portable DVD players existed as far back as 1998 and the first laptop capable of playing DVD movies out of the box was released before the PSP launched. The first handheld media player capable of playing videos beat the PSP to the punch by a couple of years as well(released in 2002) If you're...
Oh, no, he won't play nice, but at this point in the game the goal is to slow him down and make him impotent. Basically keep him from drilling new holes in the boat. We can start firing up the bilge pumps and plugging the holes once he's gone.
This is why it's imperative the Dems take back the Senate if at all possible(still a long shot, but now within the realm of possibility). Trump will be forced to pick more moderate cabinet members when he inevitably fires existing ones either as scapegoats or because they didn't do things that...
I disagree on that. If you don't want the people of your country to access a website, there are other methods you can use than trying to force your laws on an entity outside your sovereignty. Otherwise you end up with North Korea suing every western media company because they aren't following...
Yea, I've often wondered how countries can actually pull of fining a company that doesn't even have offices within them. Seems like a lot of wasted work for nothing. It's a bit different for US states to sue business in other US states due to lawyers twisting things so that interstate commerce...
Yea, but I just can't see them going that route. Granted the movies are being made by different companies. Sony Pictures is making Zelda and Universal makes the Mario universe movies. We haven't seen any hint of Kirby yet and you can't have Smash without Kirby.
It's illegal for living persons to be depicted on paper currency. That's the only reason his portrait isn't on the bills already. Presidents can't have their image on coinage until they've been out of office for a least two years, also by law.
Yea, the mount point system is somewhat convoluted, though I know what their line of thinking was. It was a solution to the fact that Unixoids tend to treat EVERYTHING as a file. Hard drive partitions containing filesystems themselves are files in /dev. A lot of early distros did not adhere...
What's wrong with the Unix filesystem specifically? Granted these days unless I'm really trying to do something funky or do some major customization, I rarely leave my home directory. I just don't think about it much. The only part that is really a bit of a pain is mounting other storage...
I'm hoping this may be the beginning of some real change, but I've hoped that about a lot of developments and the corporate elites somehow keep winning....
I seriously hope one day the UK government wakes up and realizes the amount of harm they are doing to trans people.... I also REALLY hope I live to see that day.
I've never used OneDrive and I kinda moved to Linux before Microsoft started REALLY working to force it down everyone's throat. Windows is at this point just for a couple of games that use kernel level anti-cheat as far as my use-case goes.
Locked down computers, phones and tablets have absolutely tanked computer literacy, unfortunately.... Google, Apple and Microsoft don't want you to know how your computer actually works.
