The thing is that JT's "leaks" that the new TM1 Megatron was just a retooled Kingdom Megatron and that the new Scorponok was going to be some sort of of BotCon/IDW hybrid was based on art. Be that AI generated art or real art, it was art. Not images of the figures themselves.
I say that...
It's worth pointing out that JT Prime, who shared the info that TM1 Megatron is a Kingdom remould, said he based that assumption off of artwork only.
Even if the figure is a Kingdom remould... I mean... that doesn't tell us much considering how extensive remoulds are these days. Legacy Armada...
I don't think it would be, but I don't think it necessarily matters. I've seen enough from Bruticus and Liokaiser to give me some optimism that these figures won't suffer too badly, if at all, from being parts of a Combiner.
I'm honestly not too worried. Bruticus was my first go with the new frame Combiners and I was impressed by how un-compromised the limbs felt as stand alone guys. Bruticus was one of the better CW sets and even his individual components don't really hold up to the AotP versions.

It's kind of interesting how she's never had a gone one. I thought the SS TFO one would be decent at least but it's easily the weakest of the SS TFO figures.
If we're speculating on what hypothetical wave two MW toys would have been, we need to look at the early 90s Euro G1/G1.5 moulds and anything from the tail end of G2.
It's always possible Hasbro would have dug deeper for moulds had MW proven to be a success, but for the purposes of keeping the...
Honestly, the obsession with continuity may be doing these franchises more harm than good. A big reason cited for MCU fatigue is that audiences may stay away if they feel they need to be up to date on like eight different previous movies and two tv shows. If they aren't...they'll just sit it...
