  1. G.I. Joe thread - Yo Jo June 2026: Hooded Cobra Commander and others

Today was probably the biggest push on GI Joe since…a LONG TIME now. Hasbro revealed the mass retail BAT (which is MIA right now due to shipping issues), but we are getting the Python Patrol iteration (might have to steal the head for a cartoon BAT…). Speaking of, the Target theme this year is...
  2. Transformers Legacy toyline

I brought it up in the other thread, but...I wonder how the delay is going to effect the line? Hasbro's been doing yearly lines starting in the post-Christmas reset, where as Legacy looks like it won't be on shelves until next JULY. I wonder if it is simply a matter of covering their butts...

The renders and posed shots all have a clear chest. I think the actual figure does as well, just the lighting or maybe the windows ended up a bit more opaque than the renders make it hard to see.
  4. Hasbro PulseCon 2021 October 22nd & October 23rd

Also, I guess we're finally seeing impact from shipping delays. Pulse AND Entertainment Earth is setting release dates for NEXT SUMMER for Legacy stuff.
  5. Hasbro PulseCon 2021 October 22nd & October 23rd

My full thoughts on Legacy: Packaging is a bit busy to me, but I give them credit at doing something fresh with Transformers packaging. It's a wild display of color, but I feel confident that it will stand out at retail shelves. As noted, I'm disappointed at the absence of the core class...

Same here. I was hesitant on Galvatron, but I think they hit a really fair price and I have ample time to change my mind on him.
  7. Transformers Legacy toyline

It's the revenge of the mid-2000s! The story of Universe combined with a major gimmick from Energon! We've already seen SS Starscream and Perceptor. That may well all be it until they start the hype machine for the next film (which will likely dominate the line next year) I'm terribly...
  8. Hasbro PulseCon 2021 October 22nd & October 23rd

I KNOW! It's not like they said it a dozen times in the movie they keep referencing, or dozens more in the 30 some episodes of the third season the cartoon they keep referencing.
  9. Hasbro PulseCon 2021 October 22nd & October 23rd

The ZORD accession project looks amazing. I'm hoping that moves forward, it probably will, but I can REALLY see that Transformers DNA in that model. Maybe that's going to be Power Rangers "Commander" price point offering?
  10. Transformers Legacy toyline

Well, at least I feel safe in saying that after seeing Skids and Bulkhead’s Energon weapons, we SHOULD be getting a dang cool accessory pack this time around.

I mean, ultimately, "G1-ification" of most Animated designs leaves you stuff not terribly far removed from the typical looks for most characters. I think the issue is more like, Hasbro made a Bulkhead with a LOT more in common to his Animated iteration than Prime, but opted to namecheck Prime...
  12. Transformers Legacy toyline

To me, he looks like a more "militarized" permutation of the "civic utility vehicles" exemplified by Grapple and Inferno. Kind of like how Prowl, Smokescreen, Jazz and Skids all share broad body structures, but are clearly more "specialized" in their uses. Heck, all things considered, I think...
  13. The COVID Vaccination Thread

That’s IF they can get a lung transplant. Extra organs aren’t exactly a dime a dozen even BEFORE recent events. There will be millions who will have damaged lungs for the rest of their lives simply because they aren’t “bad enough” to justify a transplant. Though, given my own transplant...

I also feel, like the Beast Wars updates last year....a LOT of the toys of the last 30 years are damn hard to "do better" or improve upon. For most of the Prime cast...they have serviceable to fantastic toy representations. I remember a lot of dissatisfaction with 25th Hot Shot because, to...
  15. Transformers Legacy toyline

I'm not sure if it's cost cutting or a change in design team...but I do think both look a bit "rough around the edges" in ways the last few years haven't. Then again, the last few years have been pretty heavy on characters done and redone to death so maybe this is a result of some "leg...
  16. The COVID Vaccination Thread

Heard a sobering fact at meeting today at work (I work at a hospital). For the year, our institution is over a million dollars in the red. So, anyone saying how this is a ploy to make hospitals rich...are full of jive. The big reason for the deficits are because of the extreme bills being...
  17. Ghostbusters General

I see Afterlife doing the same thing Force Awakens did: There is going to be a hard divide between people enjoying the callbacks and character returns with a new story. And then there are going to be people ripping it apart for not being "new enough" or simply playing to nostalgia. Most of the...
  18. Hasbro PulseCon 2021 October 22nd & October 23rd

Heck, with Micromasters "done" at retail for the foreseeable future, Hasbro's got a good number of tools that could be used for some of the assorted Japanese Micromasters characters (like Clipper) featured in the show.
  19. The Batman Will Rise in March 2022!

So, Film Theory did a big analysis for The Batman last year. Given what we've seen from the film...they might not be too far off...
  20. Hasbro PulseCon 2021 October 22nd & October 23rd

I'd probably be in the same boat. I don't have the Unicron, don't have desire for it and all those accessories don't do anything for me. Except amuse me IMMENSELY that they did a mini figure for Snarl (who hardly appears in the film) but not Sludge (who is very prominent).
