$250 is a solid price for these, and I don't even really care about the unlockables (maybe the Matrix Blade) but they'll likely get to them. But I'm really have to make some room on the shelves and in the budget, and it's not a good time for either.
I definitely agree that it would be sweet to get Alternators looks that can slot into the mainline, scalewise.
That was a wild few years. The debut of Smokescreen and MP/20th Op was one of those rare times where most of the fandom was too stunned and wowed to complain about much (but we...
I would've much preferred a string of these as Buzzworthy releases rather than those "people like Movie molds in charcoal gray, right? Well, you're getting them".
I may be the only one oddly missing the toy colors on Tigerhawk. Or perhaps there are dozens of us.
Either way, know that I am (waiting for a) Razorclaw.
Yeah, we could use more of that Soundwave specifically. This-and-that G1-adjacent Soundwave a bit less so. (Although some designs would be great if they ever retooled them into someone else after -- RID2015, Reactivate, Earthspark...)
Okay. Awesome.
Definitely getting that Gobots set.
Ratchet And Brawn Die, considering it, but might not. Talked myself into the Ironhide set because I could put together a non-dying Prowl and maaaybe remedy the Ironhide. But I'm keeping Earthrise/Galactic Odyssey Ratchet as my main Ratchet...
Yeah, that is a very "Buzzworthy multipack" move. I'd definitely appreciate that (especially if it's not just "alternate faceplates" like the troop builders had), to help this be more than a lateral-move Trailbreaker. I do like how the window panels pop now. Shame that seems to have taken the...
Never used the numbers myself; just figured this might work since this is how store listings tend to have it (the Bumblebee stuff in particular). And really, it isn't THAT hard to keep track of these, although it can be hard to remember TLK exists.
Maybe TF6?
IDK how much I like this, especially with that weirdly sharp hood slope, but that headsculpt is not helping. Maybe it'll be like Arcee and get more interesting once it's redecoed/retooled into someone else.
I still want toy colors, but this looks pretty good; maybe toyhax stuff can help add some more visual interest. Held out on the mold to get it as Galvatron (and am also hoping for a Cryotek from TM2 Meg's) and I'll be glad to get it.
Regrettably, I'll have to pass on Tidal Wave, but I'm glad...
Man, I'd love a fresh take on the Alternators designs in the main line. A new GT that locks together better, a non-frustrating Mustang (use it as Wheeljack first, want to see those colors). A pickup truck, maybe sharing engineering with Hoist/Trailbreaker. The Tracks design. Even just use like...
Gigawatt is automatically on that list.
But I remember the Alternators Ford GT very fondly. I wish the robot mode locked together better, but what a gorgeous car and a cool robot mode. Especially in Rodimus red, and it managed to get two takes on that color scheme too.
I suppose it's a good thing this happened to the Seeker mold that may be among the most easily disassembled. There are parts with rivets and such, but most of this seems like it'd be easy to break down cleanly and dip into a small tub of warm soapy water if need be.
