I still really wish there were a way to give him a few skirt panels. (I've not handled the mold a lot, idk if there's room in altmode or whatever).
But for now I'm content to wait and see on the colors. I only want to get one between the single pack release and this one. (I did somehow wind up...
I feel the opposite, but that's only because of how much the original imprinted on me. That was such a standout release at the time and a very cool thing to have (that wasn't very easy to obtain). Intellectually I know the new one is better in most ways from proportions to articulation, but it...
Oh, I might be into that Prowl if it doesn't use the soapy silvery plastic Hasbro's used (which also yellowed fairly quickly).
But I'm still getting my Checkpoint base guy.
Some interesting possibilities.
a pair of Voyager/Leader 2-packs: an Optimus Prime/Jetfire 2-pack (with Jolt in the backdrop having as much dimension as he had in the movie), and a Megatron/Burning Fallen 2-pack.
a pair of Deluxe 2-packs: an Arcee Triplets/Sideways 2-pack, and all-new molds for...
This is one of those rare times I'll side with the "I shouldn't have to buy an upgrade kit for this" logic. It's a Titan class figure. Omega Supreme could come with a Countdown he never originally had or needed, but this can't have his own little buddy? That's a bummer.
Edit: might have even...
I'm probably going to save up and get the OP at some point. Maaaybe splurge on the one with the trailer since it's spendy anyway. A one-off landmark purchase, and it's a hell of a concept I'd Iike a piece of. I'm still floored by the sheer incongruity of the old design and the modern...
I think I may have enjoyed the rock aesthetic if applied to beasts rather than vehicles. The Fossilizers are named as such, but the molds are more bone than stone in appearance.
I'm just so disappointed about that big chunk of burgundy in the middle of Vector Prime's altmode. The original had a huge block of it on the surface, but it was clearly overlaid on top of the ship's main color. Here it's like that chunk got broken and someone replaced it with the same part from...
Yeah, it's wild how they kept doing stuff but kept ending up at least one Seeker short for each trio.
Voyager had Dirge and "Thrust", no Ramjet.
Legends had Starscream and Skywarp, no Thundercracker. Ramjet and Thrust, no Dirge.
The first sentence tells you everything you need to know. It's not about quality, it's about the old-timers wanting the warm blanket of nostalgia and being the audience, not those silly kids.
