This is probably not worth the effort to digibash, but I'm realizing that DK3 Breaker and Lift Ticket can basically parts swap (and take a bit of paint) to make blue Diaclone Hoist.
Annoyingly there's nothing on Toyhax for the hazard striping on the side of the vehicle (because Hoist and Lift...
This only makes sense, as "add articulation" becomes less effective as a move when applied to generations already engineered with it. Then it becomes about improving proportions or changing up the articulation that was already there (hopefully for the better). Burn Out is a bigger "leap" than...
That's a good point. I'm probably going to skip or at least delay Bee, but I'm hoping Glyph and Tapout finally get made, and if those are from versions of this mold, why not.
Aside: has anyone made like a proper injected plastic (or whatever, just not a 3d print thing) version of that upgrade...
I can shrug off not redoing PMOP that soon, and the Evolution aspect of Orion Pax works well enough for me in tandem with Hot Rod/Rodimus.
But I might've been interested in a PMOP in Takara's Gen Selects instead of Star Convoy. (Although I suppose that would've changed the manga by a fair bit...
It's the first I'm hearing of it, honestly, and it sounds a little sad.
Anyway, not surprised to see the marketing skew toward the 80s cartoon. As much as i appreciate every era and iteration of Transformers since, I'd be very surprised if it did anything other than that -- for many reasons...
Heh, I think we had one of those too for that April Fool's joke. Although iirc the mockup used an Earthrise Grapple.
But I do miss the vibe of getting random, "ordinary", real-world things as new Transformers. I remember walking out of the 2007 movie and seeing a parking lot full of generic...
I agree. This is a big part of why the T30 range started out with small main cast members iirc, to go with Metroplex. And we've been getting more and more such city/basebots for them to go with in the years since. Idk if they're specifically avoiding splitting or diluting the buying audience...
I'm less concerned about size and more about it being good enough overall (interesting engineering, sturdy, looks good) to justify replacing the CW one (I can't have both).
Although while I don't mind Devastator being bigger than most combiners, I don't want him THAT MUCH bigger.
I'd be fine with something similar to the Combiner Wars take, with the individual releases getting each enough of a budget to not sacrifice as much. That version is also close enough to the execution with Motormaster; the Commander class is still the main body and the limbs plug in. The arm bots...
I like the spot being used for smaller characters (Exosuit Spike, Noah, and Mohawk are all nice) rather than "here's the same characters in a smaller scale". But then I was also fine with the G1 Minibots being Legends class rather than all getting bumped up to Deluxe.
Either way, I think it'd...
I go right back to the line idea I had in the "propose a TF toyline" thread, which was built entirely around Legion and Core class and the like. I really think this would be a fun direction to go in for a while. And the redeco/retool friendliness of G1 (and beyond, as the Legacy lines have shown...
