I agree with all of this. But those complaints were typically accompanied by "yeah so Starscream's ride transforms, Starscream doesn't", followed by a return to the original "logic", so this isn't lost on them, just dismissed because of course it was.
Never bought into it myself. As a kid the...
As a main line, non-transforming Transformers are an easy pass. But I've never understood the "durr why put TRANSFORMERS on them when they don't transform", like seriously, mac, do you expect your Transformers branded underoos to have a robot mode?
Separate, ancillary product lines with...
Assuming this still sees a 2-pack release with the same sort of accessory pack-in as Ironhide/Prowl, I'm just gonna want the blast effects. I managed to get the Ironhide/Prowl pack for well below retail here -- blast effects, an opaque-plastic Prowl I could frankencustom up with Siege and...
This has been true since Generation 1 started.
In any event, again, the question for me is whether or not a comic appearance counts as "exists in any way", or if "exists in any way" has to be in toy form since the title question does specify "redeco". Because there are plenty of "virtual...
I'm not invested in quibbling about this because it's not my topic to begin with, but if I were counting that as a viable option on the same footing as the two I mentioned, I would have mentioned it.
Although sure, real-world reveal announcements and the like can also fall under the question...
To me what's confusing is that the list specifies "didn't exist in any way before being released" and "no CW replacement limbs". Alpha Bravo is definitely the former, but the latter is a gray area (he was technically a replacement at the time of release, but that was undone).
Although now the...
Iirc it was a popular custom from the Deluxe T30 mold (and from T30 Brainstorm as well). I haven't gotten the Legacy Armadascream as I'm keeping my Deluxe Seeker team versions of that design, but I'd definitely grab a Pharma retool from that mold.
But not as fast as I'd grab a box set of those...
Yyyyeah.
It was a lot of fun at first, but that didn't last very long before it was overtaken by "I'm gonna write in the wiki from here" energy. The whole question and answer format very quickly began to feel like fix fic theater.
At least, I guess, most of the stuff was for the...
Wondering about the possibility of Hasbro eventually getting around to Core class versions of Rewind and Eject since they're starting with Steeljaw. I still don't think those are that good a value, but it sure beats having to buy Eject and his Blaster accessory.
The ehobby reissues were the first thing that came to mind (that and maybe the Kiss Players cassettes?) but I figured there had to be more recent ones than that.
Yeah, specialty stores on this side of the world may bring it in, and there's a slim chance that mainstream retail might gamble on striking a deal for these exclusives again (they did get some Target exclusives during WFC, and the Walmart beasts from Legacy as well as Velocitron wave 1). None of...
Revisiting this with some time to think, but I'll try and go slow.
GENERATION 1 (1980s/original run)
This is cheating a bit as it covers so much ground, but I'd be mad to say anything other than the 1986 Movie was the most formative part of original G1 for me. Never got the comic, the cartoon...
Maybe they straight up retooled the wings; the wing edges have serrations rather than the ribbed panels from Cyclonus. The head seems new too (i wish one of the Cyclonus releases had had a new head tooling; not this necessarily but something better than the original).
