Transformers: Wild King -- new "Wildocking" animal limb combiner series from TakaraTomy

So, Takara posted on YouTube a diorama story for the first-wave Wild King toys, but also geoblocked it for every part of the world outside of Japan. Luckily, Transformers multimedia archivist Walruslaw of TFRaw has gotten himself a hold of the video and uploaded to his archive on Google Drive...

40th Anniversary Haslab: RID2001 Omega Prime

Kind of funny how, of all the G1 references that were added to the RID 2001 dialogue scripts, that particular reference was not used in any of Magnus's appearances. Like, not even a casual, throwaway, tough-guy line like "It's time for me to deal with you now!" or "Let me deal with this now!"...

Transformers: Wild King -- new "Wildocking" animal limb combiner series from TakaraTomy

It's "dro" as in "hydro", like how Lightlong says "ligh" as in "lightning" (and is a triple pun with both his name and "rai" meaning thunder).

Transformers: Wild King -- new "Wildocking" animal limb combiner series from TakaraTomy

He ends several, but not all, of his sentences with "dro" (ドロ, doro), which most transcription software kept mistaking for "darou" (だろう), which changes the meaning of the rest of the sentence. He also made an elephant-based pun near the beginning of the ep that was really hard to convey. He...

Episode 4's fansub. This one took a little longer due to Hydrophant's verbal tic making some of his dialogue tricky to understand:

The only ones of those Magnuses that I've seen correctly assembled were those belonging to Ben Yee and Ryan Yzquierdo, and that's only because they each did the very risky pin-pushing fix.

Several hours late but here it is! This is a full 360° Powerline concert experience, and it is INCREDIBLE!!! There is so much to see in this video from every possible angle. It's insane the amount of care that was put into this:

I didn't quite get that impression from his dialogue. He said, "Ever since then, it's been my mission to find you, Blurr, and accompany you into battle. I asked around and found out. You were here on Earth, so I made up an excuse to get transferred here." While his intent was a bit...

It's a shame the show didn't do much to make him that appealing as a character either.

Transformers: Wild King -- new "Wildocking" animal limb combiner series from TakaraTomy

Basically, the concept behind Wildocking is supposed to emphasize bonds forged between individuals from very different walks of life. They're not supposed to be a uniform combiner team. Think of it kind of like those Japanese G1 Combiner combinations made from members of different Scramble City...
