I mean, there have been so many more substantial cases where our faith in where the bar lies in terms of good taste and even just common decency has been shown to be severely misplaced.
After the last four years, and certainly after the last four WEEKS, a case of "everything is someone's G1"...
Per the wiki: In May 2023 (a month after it was revealed at CinemaCon in April 2023), Paramount announced it was being moved from July 2024 to September 2024. No reason is given in the linked article, but the linked April 2024 trailer launch article notes that the move gets One further away from...
Yeah, "hey, this thing I remember fondly is on a platform I can watch here? Cool, let's see it again" is a considerably different situation from "Since you loved that thing from a decade ago, how about going out to see the newest one in that series now?".
Kind of like how our to-watch or...
All this "if it released in x, y would have destroyed it" just reminds me that the movie released in a window of its own and still made peanuts. At least here it would have a reason (and tbh it might still have made more since it'd be a season when people are in more of a moviegoing mood).
Very much the same here. Loved seeing a nod to it in the Cyberverse Spark Armor Shockwave's satellite armor, but this is definitely a design that should be realized full-size.
To be fair, stuff was kind of happening in those five years, and our sense of time has definitely been warped.
It doesn't help that the first theatrical thing greeting people after that was Transformers: More of The Same.
I don't disagree with brand fatigue, but I'd contend it's movie vs movie, not movie vs the various shows.
Transformers as a theatrical thing needed a break. Needs a break.
After this long of being a constant presence in theaters, it gets harder to create a fresh and interesting experience...
Was content to pass on this mold since the Windblade one really wasn't doing it for me with what felt like a mishmash of shapes with a cockpit glued to the top of it in altmode.
Slipstream's colors in altmode mitigate that effect quite a bit, and even the robot mode torso looks a bit better...
Yeah, even now you'll get people responding to descriptions of the current state of it as "eh, Twitter was always a dump". Like I have no doubt it COULD get bad like any social media platform can, and the site's security and moderation did tend to be relaxed for the sake of profit at times.
But...
Stuff like this is why I like the Well of All Sparks being a combined thing from all the Primes. (Was it mentioned if it was their last act or something, like a gift to their descendants?)
This way we get to have "the first __" without raising questions like "so how did those traits get passed...
Not necessarily. More like convergent ideas.
Toyhax has been on a mad "cel shaded windows on everything" binge for years by now and their sticker sheets tend to also include classic sticker-sheet details (such as for the Wreck N Rule Collection Springer). A "special but not too different" deco...
Translation is a thing that exists. I don't mind the names that essentially streamline the translations (Heavy Armor Vanguard becoming Aeegis Vanguard).
And hell, prior to the renaming, the wiki was running perfectly fine calling assorted Microns Filter, Trigger, Saber, and more. If they get...
Well, there's always the nagging feeling that these c-suites haven't of late shown much of the ability to see past a big enough dollar sign, and that's this dipshit's only playing card.
But yeah, this is just more bluster. Can tell by how the tweet in question was set up by one of the usual...
